The Mob of Emus is a thing where every time I hear the feature list I'm very intrigued then I look at it and get confused, so yes I agree with that. I haven't even got as far as reading the manual and seeing how hard it actually is yet

cool! it's one of the most powerful samplers in euro i think. lol. or. was? last time i was up on what was WHAT? been actively avoiding knowledge in that milieu.

haven't purchased much in awhile in hardware. still waiting on the Motor Synth (which may never come, if it does it REALLY better be the V2 they just announced and in the first batch they shipped. i ordered over a year ago. they've answered emails, so i'm not pissed, just. don't expect it any more?), Avalon Bassline (that dude... ships when he ships. i knew that going in.), Perkons (looks like it's actually heading out soooooooon!) and DirtyWave M8 (he was also very up front on when he expected it to ship). just got in the Oxi One and some Twisted Electrons loot (Blast Beats, MegaFM and Deton8). loving all of them, just fun as butts to use.

first jammer with the Blast Beats -

yessuh! i'm exciiiiiiiited for it. still going to be a little bit, but the guy is a one man synth company and a TON of love and work have gone into the M8. i have all the patience.

i havna ever used it as a straight delay. lol. i would try that... but i keep getting distracted by other shizz every time i go to run things into my minimal euros.

Angle Grinder - i don't remember any tracking issues? i had a few of his modules, they're TANKS. very cool stuff.

man. if i WAS still euro'ing? for some reason i never see it mentioned, but the OXI One sequencer has a USB C rechargeable battery built in. seems the BIDNESS for moving it around the studio if you have loot in different places. i run all my MIDI through Ableton, route and tempo sync that way (because i am LAZY. seems to work well enough.), so that doesn't do much for me.

the Stochastic mode is one of the Special To OXI One features i was most excited about. tried a few euro Stoch Buggers, and while neat stuff ensued, this. THIS is what i want. easy and fun to program, plenty of options, interesting sequence freeze abilities, save save save SAVE SPOTS... just GOOD.

trying to do a more demo'y vidja of messing around with it into a HydraSynth -

i was trying to make a big ungodly mess of noise with 8 chord Tracks playing at once on the Syntakt and it came out... kinda... pretty?

FAILURE.

M8 On A ROPE.

i would have gone with Island Synth, but i FEEEEL you.

murf. it's been awhile since i ran anything through modular effects. i remember adoring the Bender, been mostly using the Microcosm for glitchy hardware goofy times.

I'd looked at the angle grinder for a bit over a year now, and after patching it up by following the schematics in the manual I was convinced it was a pretty ducking awesome idea to get one.

Just wanted to say the angle grinder sounds abso-fucking-lute-fucking-le-fucking-tastic. For those uninitiated, it's a feedback mixer of sorts which is also a filter, full on perfectly tracking oscillator and waveshaper (and most definitely distortion). It fits very well in a system like mine where I need all of these things at times but I can't get every one of them separately. The issue is it's so good you want to use it for everything all the time.

If anyone reading this has one, make sure you switched the INJECT jumper from AC to DC on the back, it allows to to compare two separate signals entirely, basically allowing you to mangle one signal and filter another (with the filtered signal affecting the grinded signal, but the filtered signal output stays unaffected by the grinded signal).

Nitpicks; I want CV control over the GRIND->SPIN, DAMPENING and GRIND in, but this can be patched since all the inputs and outputs exist.

PS I'm well aware I'm late to the schlappi game, I was busy with the harvestman game.
I've been eyeing this up for a little while - it would be a lot of fun in a larger rack!
I got distracted by the announcement of MI being dissolved so all my module money ended up going on the various MI modules I wanted to try before the gouging begins, but there are a couple of Schlappis that I really want when I diversify further.

very detailed and compelling description suh! if i was doing euro bits, would GRAB.

got a Leploop in. that... that interface is NOT for me. it's the kind of box that i know i don't gel with, but got seduced on a whim. cool sounds inside though. going to list it on Mods for like 6 hundy, but if anyone here is interested i'm good with 5 hundy shipped.

have a Cosmos Looper coming in tomorrow. another impulse buy, but i like Soma stuff a lot. as odd as it gets.

SO excited about pairing the Polyend Play that should be in Wednesday with the Oxi One. One is fastastic fun for melodic stuff, planned and generative. the Play looks like everything i wanted the Seq to be with a bunch of workflow things i love doing in Live.
