That NIOMA is really nice too--shorter scale is better for the bar slants to grab minor cords or intervals other than major thirds and fifths out of standard open tunings and the wide string spacing also helps with slants and behind-the-bar string pulls for bending effects.... The pickups on those are similar to 30s Nationals, and they were probably built by Dickerson or an LA-based company. NIOMA (National Institute of Musical Arts) was based in Seattle, and in the business of setting up guitar orchestras (and providing them instruments, natch)

I want to clarify something that was discussed a few pages back. The seller fees on eBay are actually now 10%, which is higher than the previous hike that sent so many sellers away. It was 9.25/9.5, when I abandoned eBay for Reverb. The only items that are 3.5% on eBay are basses & guitars---instruments only, no other items. If you're selling pedals, synth equipment, keyboards, amps, or other accessories, you're still going to get hit with an obscenely ridiculous 10% fee.

So for anyone who had been entertaining the thought of going back to eBay again, keep these fees in mind before listing your items. I had to call customer service and it took 20 minutes for me to get a fee reduction---and I won't be doing that again. Fuck eBay.
