theactionindex is probably the best guy I've ever dealt with. He held on to something until I got paid and then he split shipping with me! What a dude!

Vidarr wrote:Not the best transaction with destroyerjazz... Slow shipping (pedal also never listed as sold on ILF after I paid for it which fueled my concern around the slow shipping). This I could have lived with and shrugged off, if it hadn't finally arrived broken :( Doesn't work/produce sound and the momentary foot switch sticks and won't release. It's only $40 and Ohnoho has a lifetime warranty so I'm going to send it to them to see if they honor the warranty.

Anyways, be advised...

it's not my fault if the post office loses it for a few days before it gets to you, thus the slow shipping. like i said in e-mails, i sent it at the APC 2 days after i received payment. the pedal worked fine for me before sending it, but sometimes stuff happens in transit. and even after being constantly insulted via e-mails, i offered to pay for the shipping for you to send it to ohnoho and you never responded. i've done other deals with plenty of people on here (see: a few posts down from yours by ashdown) that have gone fine. i'm glad people who are twice my age can't be adults about things on the internets :whateva:

1) I actually thought the email above was rather nice considering the circumstances - no vulgarity, name calling and all I said was be advised.
2) Here's a tip - mark something as sold on the posting after the person pays. It'll probably ease a person's fear and it's #2 on the Rules and Suggestions for B/S/T.
3) Insulted via emails? I actually have the complete transcript of our email thread... I'll let everyone else be the judge on how insulting I was. Another tip, answer someone's email attempts on ILF and don't make them track you down using your real email address. The "I don't come on here a lot" loses credibility when you can easily see when's the last time a person was on the forums.

4) Beyond the switch sticking, the internal connections and casing of the switch was broken. Considering the package was in rather nice shape when it arrived and the internal parts are surrounded by a tough metal MXR type enclosure that wasn't dented, I do find it tough it broke in shipping. I shot a quick clip of how it sticks... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmc77obACHI

I will however apologize to everyone else on ILF for taking up their time with this nonsense but I have pedals for sale on here and I want to protect my reputation. This is all I will write and respond to on the matter. I consider this done and closed.

PS... I'll let the dig on my age slide as the one inevitable truth... you'll be old one day and have to deal with it ;) That thought always makes me laugh

funny that you didn't post the last e-mail that i said to you. i didn't answer your first two PMs because it's annoying when people ask the day they paid and the day after "DID YOU SHIP MY ITEM YET????".

"$40 isn't worth my effort to try and get my money back from you. And given what's happened already, I doubt you'd honor it anyways.
Thanks for nothing, jackass."

because i was suchhh a bad seller by shipping it within 2 days, constantly communicating with you, sending you the billing statement from when i shipped your pedal, etc. the age comment wasn't a dig at your age, but about your immaturity during this whole process. keep in mind, this was the last thing i said to you, which you never responded to:
"Okay, so I didn't lie to you about anything (not shipping it, etc) and you were a complete jerk about everything the entire time (constant e-mails demanding money back when it took longer than a week to get there) and so I'm now at fault? Ha, alright. What date does it say it was sent then? Because that's definitely when I sent it, as I sent you the billing statement from my bank's website. Also, it was completely working when I tested it before I sold it. Momentary switches are very cheap parts and could've been damaged in transit, since it probably got lost and messed with a lot. If you take a picture/scan your receipt for how much it costs to ship the pedal to Ohnoho, I will glady Paypal you a few bucks to cover it. I don't get why you're being so unreasonable because the USPS took so long to get it to you. Why would I "honor" the return, when I did in fact send the pedal when I said I did? "

i also apologize to everyone here for how this is being long and drawn out, i just don't want my selling/buying reputation ruined because someone on here doesn't get that if the USPS loses a package for a week, it's out of my hands.

I have a bunch of references to update on this thread. I'll do it later. I should just do like dev, and continue to add to the same entry.
