It is good! I've shamefully never got round to reading any additional Huxley which now I think about it seems like a huge oversight.

I've just started Gender Trouble by Judith Butler. It's pretty heavy going, the kind of book where I have to read sentences multiple times to get the full meaning. But interesting!

I started The Stand (the uncut version) earlier in the summer.
While I read a few other books, I put it down for a bit, but I just now picked it back up.
I have about 200 pages left, and I have to say, this has already become one of my favorite books of all time.
This is the first Stephen King book I've ever read, and I've gotta say, I want to check out more of his stuff after this.

Haven't read any King since, or before, but the Stand was definitely a nice long read. Keep with it, dude!

Yeah, I've enjoyed the length.
I feel like it makes the world seem so much more real.
I definitely don't plan to stop, it has thoroughly sucked me in.

Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy.

I'm halfway through the second (Green Mars). It's a really well researched "future history" of the colonisation of Mars. There's generally a lot of philosophical musing punctuated by very occasional moments of action. It's rather thought provoking though.

I finished reading Wool last week and now I'm listening to Shift (during my commute). If you're into post-apocalyptic sci-fi, check out Hugh Howey's work.

Yeah, really interesting books. Not the most interesting in a literary or character sense but I love the thought that has gone into the development of a world over such a long timescale.

Reading the local phone book. Loads of characters but I'm finding the plot a little thin.

Actually reading "Where did our love go". It's a biography about Motown music scene in the 60s but more about Gordy Berry the labels founder. He is also Redfoos dad. Good read.

Just started reading this. Really good so far. It's a riff on the Billy the Kid story, filmed by Brando in 1961 as "One-Eyed Jacks".

I found the autobiography of Herman "Ze German" Rarebell, drummer for The Scorpions, at work for some light ironic reading entertainment in between calls.

Started Ship of Fools last night.
