grabbed! will listen later whilst working. thanks!

umehshahehehrh. ORDERED the Perkons. mein gott it looks like everything i wanted the Pulsar-23 to be. i'm super enamored with the two Erica modular sequencers, has me even more excited about the Perkster.

aside from the Never Ending Angry Beats Jams, stuff like this looks FUN -

You're too kind, behndy. Thanks much for nabbing the EP!

If it is not too much to ask, I'd really like to hear your PERKONS impressions and jams when the thing comes in!

Take care down there in the Cali-lands.

-David

I got a WMD TRSHMSTR on Friday and threw it into my current patch since I was already using SSF/BII Triptych as a distortion. So I have some "light" stereo filtering/distortion going on in this track. It's in the back half. Also just really happy with how this came out and want to share :)

It's mostly about the phased sequencing loops with lots of sequencing variations and then adding some drums.

ER-101 makes it pretty easy. Just make a copy of the sequence, paste to a new channel, and add or subtract one pulse from the step length. In this case I did it three times with one pattern subtracting a pulse and the other adding.

I love "auditioning" sequences for phasing because you lots of extra things pop out that you don't expect. Its fun to pick out "snapshots" of the phasing for new sequences from the instances of phasing that stick out. Hopefully that makes sense?

Slight tread derail.
Is anyone using an Expert Sleepers FH- 1 with a midi foot pedal to contort their modular?

One pattern +1, one 0 and one -1 is dope, gonna steal that for later.

Then I'm gonna put it through lots of distortion and see what comes out
Which sequencer are you using?

It's basically putting your VCA in your mixer. Or use the mono section as the VCAs/Mixer and then use the Mono outputs to Effects and have the stereo section be FX mixing. I just wish the layout didn't have all the knobs in the middle.

Honestly. I tend to use it as a sub mixer to route effects or as a drum mixer. Or both. I still use performance mixer as THE mixer. But I’ve found myself needing more inputs than PM has hahaha

Modular has definitely taken a pretty big backseat for me. I still only have the Clank Chaos and Mutable Beads. And I have literally not used Beads beyond turning it on to make sure it works... but Vortices is looking pretty cool! It's kind of a weird/awkward layout with all the knobs in the middle and the expander, but they sure seem to have packed a ton of functionality into it! Next step is still probably going to be some kind of envelope generator/slew (probably just Maths, maybe Anima, maybe something else)
