Just got back from seeing Nerve in Providence. Anyone who thinks they have any IDM/D&B/Jungle/Dubstep cred who haven't seen these guys live need to do themselves a solid and cross these bad boys off their list, good and proper-like. In-fuckin-tense is all I have to say. John Davis is a machine.

sweet. pissed me off when they played out here. not their fault at all, do the gigs you can do and get what you can get.
but it was like $50 for Dj Shadow and them. and i've seen Shadow, he's fucking AWESOME. but that's ridiculous. i could afford it, i had a bud offer to buy my ticket, that shit offends me. 'cause i've been to the spot they played. it's a nice place and all, but it's a small to medium club. fuck that. fuck that HARD.
if they're ever gigging in NYC and i'm out there or some place where it's reasonably priced i'd LOVE to see them. Mssr. Davis seems super nice too.

Yeah I hear ya on that, it was only 10 bucks to see them out here, that's how I was able to talk like 5 of my friends into it.

I have a rule that I won't pay more than $20 for a ticket to a show. $50 is outrageous.

I did it on purpose....it was a warning to let anyone know that if they corrected me, I would rape them. But I know you'd like that. Behndy and the rough stuff is well known. Eric! had to type his ILFings standing up for a month after getting back from Cali. So, for you, my friend, we're just going to watch romance movies (a collection of that guys that played Van Wilder....and Sandra Bullock), we're going to hold hands the whole time, we're going to stare lovingly into eachother's eyes, we're going to eat spaghetti, having a loving food fight kinda thing, that leads to us undressing, and then redressing, without any private parts touching, and then we're going to do that Lady and the Tramp thing with the spesgati. We're going to spend all night touching each other but we will never get anywhere near eachother penises or orifices. It'll be a cute, sweet, cuddlefest of ooie gooie clean Christian friendly lovin'.
That's what's in store for you, my friend.
Word on the street is that Ryan Reynolds is a bit of a bitch on set. Snapping his fingers for Latte's and shit.
I believe the key phrase I heard was "Not like Kevin Bacon, Kevin Bacon was cool as hell."

Rarrr. Sexy. Do Dingwalls need special length strings, or are normal 35" strings OK?

This one has a 37" inch B string, pretty much all of them except the J's and P's are 37" B strings, so they are special strings.
I believe normal strings work on the J and P basses. There is a thread on the Dingwall Forum about it.
