I bought Metro 2033 'cause it's only $5, but it has all kinds of problems and freezes up when I try to start a new game. That is, if I'm even allowed to select the difficulty, if the sound doesn't stop working, and if the difficulty icon even appears.

I don't know if it was developed simultaneously with the console version, but it sure feels like a port -- worst of all offenders.
All FPS games should begin as PC games.

i bought that for the 360, and you are NOT missing out at all. it's a sluggish piece of shit that feels like a bad port with decent graphics on the console.

so THERE. nee ner nee ner NEE NER.

D:
STALKER's way cooler anyway.
"But Achtane you didn't even play Metro yet!!"
I don't give a fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

I also bought Counter-Strike: Source and immediately remembered that I hate everyone who plays that game. Oh well. 10 bucks down the drain.
Coulda bought what would become the world's loneliest pack of condoms with that money.

Damn I thought Metro 2033 looked good, I'll probably pass though.

Been playing Alan Wake DLC (love the shit out of this game!)

Can't wait for some Dead Island action.

Also I'm drunk, what should I play?

I think you should download some CrimzonClover. Oh, Japan and your hilarious use of English.

I LOVE BULLET HELL GAMES
I almost beat level 2 a couple of times.
Never beat Ikaruga and that's only five levels. I made it to 4.
Never beat a Touhou game though I can usually make to the last or second-to-last boss.
But I still love them. You get into this "zone" where you're dodging the shit out of...shit and everything's beautiful and colorful and if you had epilepsy you'd be fucked. You have one life left, the boss is almost dead, you're starting to lose concentration and then you get rocked. Even dying is pretty though.

Saw a game in GameStop a few months ago that I'm wishing I bought now..can't seem to find any info on it anywhere!
It was called Chronicles of Argarest:Zero, I think..:erm:

It was a Strategy-RPG game, sorta like those old Sega Genesis-era RPGs

Just bought it. Gonna play tonight, I'll post some thoughts later.

Also, buying the new Deus Ex on payday. Can't wait for Dead Island and Space Marine.

hurn. picked up Turning Point - Fall Of Liberty and Little Big Planet I yesterday. Fall Of Liberty was like $3.50. still... not really worth it. it's a cool idea, i like the idea behind the story, but it looks like a FSP from 2005 and plays like one from 1995. not fun a all. doesna hold up so good there buddy.

i avoided LBP 'cause i get WAY too into games like this. but fuck it. i got some spare tine lately and some hyper-evolved yet functional insomnia. shit is a BLAST. damn it. gonna get sucked into this pretty hard (giggety) i think.

Sad part is that, in many cases, it's actually easier and cheaper to develop for PC and then de-tune it for consoles. Too many publishers (not the developers, the publishers) have agreements with console builders tho, 'cause that's where the easy money is.

Speaking of PC-centric shooters, y'all heard about Hard Reset? Built by the good folks who brought us Painkiller a few years ago, and they know how to build a good shooter.

Interesting...might have to check that out when it's released.
Nice to see a new FPS that isn't KILL DEM NAZIS/JAPS/COMMIES.

Forgot to add in something...

System spec, released date, & pre-order details here

...and just in case; don't let the minimal timeline between the game's debut announcement and the release date fool you into thinking that it'll be a rush job...the game's actually been in development for about two years. I'm not sure what to make of the DX-9 bit tho, but at least the game doesn't demand a severely hot-rodded system to run on.

A bit late'd but damn does Duke Nukem suck my balls. Though it is fun to pick up poop out of toilets and throw it at people.
So damn clunky/awkward and all around generic as far as gameplay goes.
