this is... so sexy
Apparently it can't have zero slew, even with the knob fully ccw. I think I don't really mind that... I just thought it offered quite alot in 4hp.
A latching switch could be reallt cool for drums fills and all (if I can actually have 2 different dum sequence outputs from my blackbox). Also cool for messing with different lfo rates and stuff.
Apparently some more cv mixing wouldn't hurt but I'd also like some kind of wavefolder/distortion... A wavefolder could be fun for audio and cv (like lfos) mangling...
Decisions...

Missed the drama over the logo. I think the unannounced change was probably the best move though, it's been discussed to death already.
After keeping my spending low during the pandemic, I've started getting back into accumulating gear again. Picked up a Microfreak and a Digitakt, next move will probably be a midi module to tie everything together with the eurorack. Looking at the Expert Sleepers FH2.
Rack is still a bit of a mess, originally started as something process guitar, manipulate samples, then went through a few changes as I tried to move it into being a complete instrument in itself. Probably heading back where I started now I can move some of the sequencing back to the digi.

I now have 6hp left. Debating on either a switch like the instruo tain or acid lab switchblade, or some kind of wavefolder or distortion... Maybe a 4hp one and a 2hp lpg, vca or mixer wouldn't be a bad idea...
Went with a Joranalogue Select 2. SYSTEM COMPLETED!!!

uncontrollable laughter at System Complete.
oh you innocent summer child.
hdhdhsjakakakakhrgrgllekehegyyyauah. got another, "sorry the delay, but it will be by the end of NEXT month before we ship your Roli keys! at the most! we PROMISE! even though this is the second of these emails after two delays without emails! fuh'reals!", sent them a mild complaint email, never got a response to that support ticket but two days later got a shipped email with tracking.
forrrrrr ONE of the Lumis i ordered. not both. and not the little snap on control units. blurg.
not a HUGE deal, if the rest come in the next couple weeks. all my shizz is in boxes. movers come Thursday, hopefully i get to start on my desk by this weekend. going to be a tonnnnn of setup to do it clean and correctly.
anybody use Pyle loot? only rackmount powerstrip with multiple sections and on/offs for each i could find was theirs. they get... very mixed reviews. seems like Behringer? where the QC is so shit that it might catch on fire within hours or work for years?

I don't usually like to post about my new acquisitions anymore, but man has the black sequencer been a revelation. I haven't had this much fun programming music since the small window of time where I finally learned to use the opz properly, and even then that was marred by a lot of the opz's shortcomings.

Any idea why my Mob of Emus is not working in my newly acquired doepfer a100lc3v case? Tried Ochd and Select 2 and they seem to be fine (looking at the leds only), but the MOE leds lights up and shuts doen immediately... It is working in my 4ms pod using the same cable... Also tried a few connectors on the doepfer board to make sure it was not a faulty one... Any idea ?
Btw the black sequencer looks fantastic!
Edit: probably have the wrong power transformer... Ordered another one....

that is a very, VERY enticing endorsement. i have a bud that gushes about how much he loves his.
i'm really interested in one, but what's holding me back from grabbing one is -
01) i'm not using euro for sequencing right now. i rarely turn on my boxes lately, and when i do it's either internal messiness like the No Control or SubHarm sequencers or the computer sending out over MIDI to CV.
02) would have to ditch the Metron to make room for it. which... is hard? but doable. but....
03) i have spent zero money on euro lately, which means grabbing a 6 space studio rack case and a Cyclone 303 clone felt like... nothing. we are getting the last of our stuff moved in this week and i like not having a money suck source right now. once i add one thing, even a major thing, i know i'm going to get stuck in Shuffle Loots Land. i am enjoying NOT doing that.
there's something to be said about stepping away from the constant gratification of a new module or synth or two a week. i love the gleeful burn of anticipating New Loots as much as the next person, but not grabbing new bits has had me having a blast exploring the stuff i have.
whiiiiiich has made tearing down my yarea this week SUPER frustrating. but. as much as i am nooooot looking forward to doing all the setup, i am so damn excited about More Room Times.
hopefully this weekend?

Yeah for sure. I still have some swaps I kinda want to do and a couple of small gaps to fill. But also I've got a cool rack there that doesn't need anything else to be fun, and it's nice to just play.

lol. i will never, NEVER say anything definitively. but yeah. right now the only thing i lust for is an Avalon 303 clone and the Motor Synth that will ship... hopefully end of the month?
but i so happy to be so happy with my setup.
Jaysus Turbo Ride - nice! pretty loots meng.

Wow that's a new one! +10 for originality
Waiting for my transformer rn so I can only play the 4ms pods
Gives me time to learn Nerdseq, jeez that thing does everything. Might replace my blackbox for drums with the two audio outs and all those probability, fx stuff.
Also with the envelopes, lfos, etc it just does everything.
The UI is also pretty easy to understand and flow through!
