II feel like I spent a lot of time and money trying to get something special for my fiancé, but then after I bought the guitar she said she wanted 'something sparkly' to make it fair in her eyes, so then I spent MORE on her. And then I open my gifts and its nothing I really asked for. I know it's stupid. She refuses to buy me gear anymore.

Same issue here. For some reason, nobody in my house knows what to buy me. I post guitar pedals and shit on my facebook feed regularly, but I get a couple shirts, some shower stuff, and cash. I like getting cash, but, come on.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS G.A.S..

That depends on your family. When I have the money, I buy everyone cool shit, as do most people in my family. And my girlfriend's family is the same way. Christmas only gets lame if you decide to make it lame. :thumb:

I no say LAME... Christmas isn't about whether you got your favorite Go-Bot or a My Lil Buddy, it should be about Family and being Happy not G.A.S... I understand where you are coming from and was just saying enjoy it while you can... I hope you get a big plate of Cat for supper too...

Glad I'm not the only one who's having a less than stellar start to their Christmas. For one, I should still be asleep right now. For two, my mom is a lunatic, has been sick and is completely unable to just sit around and be sick and feels the need to drive herself to the ER early on Christmas and not tell any of us except for texting my cousin who lives out of state (who then texted my sister).

Gah! What's worse is this is all connected because I've been afraid I'd get sick, so I was really banking on getting a good night's sleep tonight. Of course I'm too riled up at this point to do so.

Thanks for bringing me down to earth man. I didn't sleep well last night and woke up in a coughing spell which got my day started roughly. But visiting the first of four families has brought my spirits up

Man, I shouldn't have looked at my spreadsheet where I track what gear I want to get, and what I've already bought. Spent over $2K on gear this year..

My uncle (with cousins in tow) decided it was okay to come over hours early, unannounced.
My family hasn't had a chance to do our gifting, yet. It's really uncomfortable.

So my parents got rid of their old desktop with their music library on it, but have a new (windows) laptop as well as an ipod with the old library on it. So they wanted me to transfer the music from the ipod to the laptop to another laptop. First I had to install itunes twice. Then I plug in the ipod with the library, the computer recognizes it, but I can't see any of the music files. I think "damn, the ipod is formatted for Mac." So I devise an obnoxious plan to plug the ipod into my macbook and use it to transfer the music to my external hard drive while I reset the ipod. When I put the ipod into the macbook I see that it is formatted for Windows, but I still can't see any of the music in finder.

Gaaaahhhhh, this Christmas sucks. I just want to sleep.

getting mad amount of sad feels today. just gonna play moon song a million times until i fall asleep probably because i am a girl and girls like songs with lyrics that describe their feelings. and also, dat tone. sometimes i feel like shit is too fucked up to be fixed and i just need to go somewhere new entirely and start over? i'm pretty sure i'm way too young to feel like that.
