Bill is the man! His playing is never really flashy but I really rate him as a composer and he always delivers as either a sideman or a band leader. Didn't realise how much of a role the neck pickup played though.

Who is a really good guitarist for you? I know we're neck deep in subjectivity here but I'm always interested in this sort of thing...

It's a great album, but it gets old fast because of the high bleakness factor.

Everything the Floyd did after Syd up through The Wall, seemed to be social commentary stemming from resentment of a society they seemed to be blaming for Syd's insanity. I love it all, but what I always hear between the lines is "This fucked up society of ours did this to our friend Syd".
