Since a few people have been asking, no, I am longer associated with Dwarfcraft or the devi ever : fx brand that they are managing.
tl;dr - I have nothing to do with Dwarfcraft and the pedals they sell under my name and I want my brand back from them since they are running it and my reputation into the ground. I'm building and designing new effects, but I have no qualms building something based on my old designs if you request... I just can't call them by their original names.
I asked them a week ago about buying the rights back to everything but they aren't being very clear with me exactly what they're plans are for devi ever : fx, and I have offered to buy back the rights since it seems they are, in their own words "purging" their stock of dwarfcraft built devi ever : fx pedals and parts.
They have also scaled back production of my designs by an enormous margin (my last royalty payment from them was $180) and they are transferring the new Silver Rose to the Dwarfcraft brand name (which is completely different the original Infanem design, so that's fine).
All signs point to them being done with everything I sold to them a year ago for $5k + 5% wholesale royalties (I know... a shit deal I never should have taken)... and while I would love to officially be able to use the branding of my old designs and have access once again to the related web and social media sights, their lack of communication and character assassination over at the
www.ilovefuzz.com forum where a 60+ page of hate is building (along with my stalker of 4 years is feeding the hate mob)... see for yourself :

... all of that has pretty much made me give up hope of once again having ownership of the brand I spent a decade building from the ground up... and even if they did hand it back, it'd probably be for an outrageous amount of money and suffer from them running it and my reputation into the ground the past two months.
So yeah, that's where I stand with dwarfcraft and the devi ever : fx brand they are currently in control of. The only connection we have is that contract that states they have to pay me 5% on wholesale, and that they have ownership over the brand and websites.
They also had an over reaching non compete agreement that was worldwide and eternal, which anyone who knows anything or has done any research understands no court would uphold, and no person of reason would stand behind, taking away a person's ability to do what they know and love and make a living for themselves.
To be honest I never had plans to ramp up production as big as I am at this point with guitar pedals again. My initial request of them was to allow me to build 15-20 pedals a month, under a new name, just enough to make up the money I need to pay for food an utilities, but they balked at the request. I did my research on the non compete part of the contract, realized it was bullshit, and decided to move forward after being advised by lawyers in both our states who said it was ridiculous dwarfcraft would request otherwise.
The moment they found out I was moving forward with building pedals again, they began to purge stock and scaled down production of my effects... my royalties from them over the course of one month went from around $1k on average to $180... and then proceeded to feed the hate mob over at ILF going as far as calling me mentally ill and hinting at possibly taking legal action... yet privately lying to me and saying they never said such things.
So what next?
I'm building pedals again. I'm designing completely new circuits, and if people want me to build custom stuff based on my old designs, I won't say no. The only thing Dwarfcraft owns is the rights to the names. No one can copyright or patent a circuit (otherwise half the boutique industry wouldn't exist!), so I can't sell you a pedal called The Hyperion, but if you want me to build a pedal based on the circuit, I can do that for you.
Beyond that... I guess we'll have to see what the future holds.
