First of all, David Lynch is seriously hit or miss.

Secondly, the way he funded Mullholland Drive (which I love) is genius:
Originally conceived as a television series, Mulholland Drive began as a two hour-plus pilot produced for Touchstone Television and intended for the ABC television network. David Lynch sold the idea to ABC executives based only on the story of Rita emerging from the car accident with her purse containing $125,000 in cash and the blue key, and Betty trying to help her figure out who she is. An ABC executive recalled, "I remember the creepiness of this woman in this horrible, horrible crash, and David teasing us with the notion that people are chasing her. She's not just 'in' trouble—she is trouble. Obviously, we asked, 'What happens next?' And David said, 'You have to buy the pitch for me to tell you.'"[3]

Also, David Lynch was once roommates with Peter Wolf (of J Geils Band fame). He (Lynch) kicked him (Wolf) out for being too weird.

Yeah Behndy, SO EASY to make the switch to fan-frets.
Damn, I had to pause typing this because FedEx just showed up with the 5 string P Bass, plus Magnetar, DelayLab and MarkBass SuperSynth showed up today, BEAT THIS CHRISTMAS!
Anyways, I am going to sit with it for a few days but I may be looking to move up to an AB1, I know where one is at...
Who wants to buy a Combustion and a MIA Fender five string P Bass?
OH Behndy, does your AB1 have the BlueQube switch? If so, what do you think of it?

I find Lynch more miss or miss. He will never sink my battleship, at this rate.

Deltz....what you think about peoplez with abnormally tiny girl hands? Not that I would switch. I'm a Statii fan boy for life. I just thinking my tiny fingers would keep me from fanny frets.

Jwar, if you're still on the fence about getting a Machine (I think that's what people were suggesting, right?):

nopers. dunno even what that is. mine's a pure passive with a 4 spot rotary switch for the pups. PERFECT for the controls i want on a bass.

well, perfect after i added Ze Killswitch. that songer of ours Apostasy wouldna work without it.

take THAT stuck in the mud Fender 4 bangin' bishes.

Behndy, the BlueQube is a passive filter I think. The AB1 that I am checking out has one.
Yeah in that video I was like Damn, Behndy is switchin' the shit out of that.

Sousa, I think it is doable, the fan-frets just look different but feel natural. Maybe in first position it would be a little bit of a stretch but I don't think it would be too much for you to handle. This bass feels like home, that quick. I have played it for a little over an hour.

Yeah this P Bass just got hammered by the Dinger. The P is a great bass, but just not for me. I traded for it because I had something hard to sell and I knew I could sell this on TB...

I have been thinking about you and Issac, I hope you hang in there and the levee holds.

I am a horse trader from way back and I come from a long line of them. So yeah, I can't help the shaking and moving that I do.

Haha. I'll believe that.

No worries for me, homeskillet.....it's actually nice weather. Might go mow the lawn. It's cloudy, windy, dry, and oh so cool. We're on the good side of the 'cane. I think we'll be getting lots of rain tonight and tomorrow but the East side of La is totally taking the brunt of it. We're just chillin.

Sigh, now I have Dingwall gas. /o_
I like the super P.
I don't know.
I want a simple passive 5 string that has a great open and rich sound, is punchy, has a great B string, has sustain, is really playable and has a string spacing like a 4. But I have no idea what to get or what I would even like. I know for sure now I can't handle tight string space cuz of my fingers and playing style, and I need the bass to be playable cuz I've got long arms and big hands and a genetic predisposition for shit with my wrists, so I'd like to avoid that too. Meeeeeeeeeeeeh

Help?

Honestly, a bass has never felt this good so quick. Yes, i do have to occassionally think about fretting high on the neck but that will pass. Obviously there is no B like a Dingwall. Mine is a 5er and has 18mm between the strings. I can deal with that fine, anything closer though, i don't like.
Your last sentence really makes a Dingwall make sense for you, especially the wrist stuff because I can relate.

Yeah, think that 1mm won't be such a problem. Tnx!
I can't seem to find the specs to the super P.

You will be glad you did...
I know those P's are a bit pricey but I am sure it is worth it.
