lol. that's funny. it took me till mid game to be able to start beating it with the bow.
i love the Restrained Rogue Aspects of it.
Dead Cells is amaaaazing, but having rando weapons each playthrough sucks butts.

I like that aspect of it too. The different weapons provide vastly different play styles and the boons and hammers on top of that can just make things go crazy. And I haven't even been able to unlock any of the weapon upgrades or different aspects yet. I think my best run came from the bow where I was able to boon the special so that it was faster, dealt knockback, and dealt a huge amount of bonus damage to armour. I was almost unstoppable, I don't remember what ended up killing me.
Dead Cells has been on my list forever too. That might be my next one after Hades (and after fully finishing Hollow Knight). Although, I am also very excited for Hollow Knight Silksong and I think that's supposed to be coming out soonish.
My fiancée has been playing a lot of Stardew Valley on the Switch after the recent update, so now I'm tempted to get a Switch Lite so we can both play games at the same time

Love the everliving crap outta Hollow Knight and Hades....might have to give Dead Cells a shot instead of continuing to play Hades like i'm gonna 100% it or something.

Managed to make it past Asterius and Theseus using the spear earlier. Made it all the way to the end too, but didn't make it out. So close!

Is anyone else playing Valheim?
It's in an early stage, but so far it's what I wanted Minecraft or Cube World to be. I'm digging the weird mixture of PS2 textures and modern lighting and physics.

Managed to beat Hades with the fists. Those things are definitely a little OP. They just attack so fast that you can easily keep people stun locked. Just need some boons to increase damage to armour and improve your dashing and you're set! Finally starting to understand how useful casts can be too. The base cast is pretty useless, but with some upgrades they can get pretty powerful. I don't know how you'd ever 100% this game; I have so much to unlock still, I barely feel like I've scratched the surface of what's available

Me neither, but sometimes it feels like i'm trying to. I've made it to the surface zillions of times, maxed out the mirror, finished all the prophecy tasks, etc....but I still have to achieve all the ranks which will take FOREVER. Still, i pick it up when I have some time and crush through a run just cause. Its addictive like that.

yah. it's just an amazingly well put together game. loooove it.
been playing Rogue Heroes Tasos. oh. oh YES.
so far it's basically the dungeons of Zelda re-imagined as a fun ass Rogue Like. suuuuuuper digging it.
lol. and they KNOW what they're doing. in the best way. been awhile since i've played the ollllld Zeldas i grew up on, but i'm pretty sure half the sound effects are identical.

I got to a point where I can somewhat consistently beat Hades, which I think has more to do with my skills getting better and my understanding of which boons to pickup than it does any actual upgrades I've bought.

I recently went to my local game shop and rummaged through their pile of games with no box and found what is, to me, a golden goose from my past: The Orange Box. Can’t wait to see if it works on Xbox one so I can shoot toilets at people again with the grav gun.

oh that's awesome. i'm super annoyed Portal 1 ESPECIALLLLLY or 2 haven't been ported (GET IT? PORTAL? PORT'ED? GET??!?) to Switch yet.
although, Scotty Pilgram And The L Word DID. and i never got to play it n Xbox. so. WOOT.
grabbed that, Blue Fire, and CYBER SHADOWWWWW. which. horrible name. but is supposed to be a fun spiritual successor to old school 2 D Ninja Gaiden. as a Metroidvania.

That’s a great point they really ought to do a Portal collection out on the Switch- but Valve kind of just does whatever it wants whenever it wants...kind of like a chicken with its head cut off...on fire....that occasionally pops out great games.
Cyber Shadow you say? I’ll check it out, never heard of it.

yeah. there's a thing too where Valve doesn't want to re-release Portal 1 too. FOR SOME DAMN REASON.
i'm digging the (ironically stupidly named?) Cyber SHADOWWWWWWWWS a lot.
and you are correct. NICE musics!
