You should try the BlackOut Musket. It's a fuzz, but it can tighten up like a distortion.

that's the thing I don't like, it's just not usable in a metal/hardrock context with tight palm mutes and stuff.

Ehhhhh, I have been using a RamsHead clone for almost all the heavy stuff lately and when my main board is working Most really chunky palm mute stuff is played with a DBA Fuzz war.

I play heavy stuff exclusively on my Seriously Special Twosome. Plam mutes galore and it takes them like a champ! Seriously worth a listen if nothing more!

Nah, I was in the same boat when I joined - you mob talk about so much interesting stuff and other effects, there's no other place like it. And in the process the non-believer is converted... since I joined I've built 1 fuzz and bought two... MOAR FUZZ!!!

I love noise, but a big part of the noise that I love is FUZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Is that an FM4? You using it for normal filter sounds or ridiculous noises?

Looks like you could get just about any tone with that board, plus it has enough EQD to keep most of us happy.
