if you mean pre-digital era, then yes. Especially when paired with washed out vhs visuals.

Some youtube videos sound amazing in a shitty way. as long as I can hear everything it's just preference.

I like having a band that can fire me up when I'm lethargic, inspire me when I have motivational issues, and even calm me when I'm anxious. I like it even more that there are lot of people that reeeeeally don't like DEP.

the audio on that sounds pretty good, I think the guitar tone is pretty bad when they're playing complicated passages though. I've seen Dillinger twice and they had great sound at the shitty venue and shitty sound at the good venue. I think they have some great songs and then 2 or three bad songs that they do over and over with different titles. Also they start 70% of their songs the same way.
