Just haven't made it out there yet. Actually, have a trip to North & South Carolina planned for the fall. :)

See, when I say the East Coast, I mean New England.

The Carolinas are gorgeous, though.

Ah! Will definitely get up there one day. But thinking about the music scene, are there cities I should visit sooner than later, with the possibility of living there?

Boston and Portland are the two NE cities I've spent significant time in that've had great music scenes. Boston's a little more expensive (go figure), but you'll find a ton of great music on any given night. It's also a pretty premiere touring spot for the bigger bands. Portland's got a better scene overall (this is biased, of course--I grew up there), better venues, more emphasis on creativity, etc. but most of the bands are allergic to staying together for more than ten minutes and there are relatively longer dry spells between good shows.

I just had a REALLY intense talk with my boss about design, architecture, music, and the progression of aluminum in instruments from Aluminum Cellos on through to EGC's. It fuckin' ruled. Most excitement at the office all day

God damn it. I paid a dude to put new pickups in my Hagstrom and they're fucked up. Supposed to be coil tapped, but the "tap" doesn't work and it sounds like they're permanently in single coil mode. Totally weak and anemic sounding.

I've installed regular buckers before but was intimdated by all the wires on these. I just want shit to work.

Bummer! I know you already said, but what pickups did you put in?
