it seems like the Jazzmaster body will balance the 28” neck better than a Tele body, especially when standing. it was a bit tempting to solve the baritone neck problem in one stop, but i really want to spec the neck so it’s closer to what i want. i could have used the double-bound body for my upcoming Tele build but i’d like something other than black. currently blue and green sparkle are frontrunners along with British Racing Green. i have 0 green guitars and that bugs me.

It should I have bass I made with 70s musicmaster bass neck with a jassmaster guitar body (alparts no pickup or control routs model) it balances pretty well… I kind of have it set up for.. slide… like to play morphine type stuff. I’ve always dug green guitars.. I have a few :thumb:

there aren’t a lot of them either in the new or used markets that aren’t Surf Green or Seafoam Green other than Burns and Guild. but there’s tons of different shades of blue ranging from Midnight to Faded Sonic Blue. i don’t get it.

Me neither. Granted I once refinished a fender jazz plus 5 that was that reverse metallic blue burst (it literally looked like a 80s Oldsmobile) to trans forest green… also the bass I’ve had sine I was 14 is trans teal..there was more green is the 90s….

i've been tempted to buy a Guild Starfire--the double-cut version--just so i could have a green guitar, but unfortunately it's a bit redundant when i have a great semi-hollow and several guitars that cover the Guild pickup waterfront. interestingly, Radioshop Pickups posted a photo on Facebook of a DeArmond with new pickups they've designed with covers like Guild's various 'buckers. however, they're described as "PAFs that look like Guild" (paraphrased) which doesn't really interest me as i already have 3 guitars with PAF-style pickups. but the Tele is going to be green of some sort unless i go with the blue sparkle.
