I just went through all the tracks uploaded (so far) while heading to the office.
Awesome work all around, all the pieces are such diverse considering that they all come from the same main samples.
The general feeling seems to be a lot more rhythm-oriented compared to the past, probably because of the kind of samples submitted. That's a nice surprise. :thumb:

@HAk I am available to take care of a fake mastering (aka matching levels) tonight or tomorrow if needed. I should really tweak my track a bit, at least level-wise it's a lot quieter than the other ones

Ps. Are there 2 tracks from Paul or am I wrong?

Sorry to be the last straggler over here but I just ran out of time and wasn't able to work on it like I had hoped. Hopefully next year, if you guys do it again and I'll be done with school so I won't be so busy. Looking forward to checking out the new album on Friday regardless!

Oooh, it makes my life a little easier if you can do that! For division of labour, I can still handle the megamix version, which people seem to enjoy having.

[edit: I added a "mastered" folder on the google drive for you to upload to]

I put my piece in the finished folder. I did indeed chop two minutes off the end, though it's still the longest one. :idk:

Paul's "album" piece is "muddy underfoot". The other one (which made me laugh out loud when I listened to it!) is a bonus.

luckily (oh well, not really) i am awake since 4.15am without a reason, and after a handful of imprecations i decided to use my time in a more productive way, so i'm uploading the leveled tracks right now! seems we are on time for tomorrow's bandcamp Friday as planned, yayy

Great! Grabbing now before bed, will do some futzing tomorrow before work and then will basically plow through and get the bandcamp stuff all ready after work.

This'll be ready to go live in 25 hours!

My thought: Good stuff. Several of the pieces would not have been out of place on a Tribes Of Neurot record and a couple others almost sound like outtakes from a Stockhausen session. :thumb:

I already have an idea of what my contribution will be next year, haha

Thank you to Dowi and Heraclitus Akimbo for your efforts in pulling this together :joy:

Really excited to listen to this, didn't get a chance today. Second the thanks to Dowi and HA!!! This is always fun even if it stresses me out sometimes close to the deadline

Regarding the rhythmic nature of the track, I thought I would be different and go that way. Maybe everyone else was as different as I was  Definitely like how the samples indicated that way, even if I only actually used one rhythmic loop!

Good work everyone. It's a nice album altogether. Track sequencing was on point. Pretty fun to recognize some samples and wonder how some sounds were processed.

Also extra thanks to Heraclitus Akimbo and Dowi.

Wow, thanks everyone for all your efforts! Especially Heraclitus and Dowi. We both felt this worked really well (the variety of samples, paticularly the acoustic ones) - it was really inspiring to play with them and see what we could make out of them.
