I like #3 as well, though I think the "receding" effect (if that's what you're going for) on the OKTA could maybe be refineded a bit?

I was supposed to be just vertical, but somehow ended up like that - as it was just a rough idea I thought I'd leave it in

I did my first chunk of pedalification yesterday... I only picked five or six to run through the pedals, did three yesterday, a couple passes on one of 'em. One more sit-down session will take care of the rest, then it's a matter of loading everything into Audacity, sliding things around and seeing what fits.

Choices are being made. I fiddled enough that I'm gonna close it for tonight and then fiddle some more.

Endgame administration time!
You have this week and this weekend to complete your tracks!
Looking in the "completed" folders in the google drive, I see tracks from moid + Paul_C. (Plus, I obviously have my own on hand.)
If I can get stuff by the end of the weekend, that gives me a few days to find a running order + upload to bandcamp without rushing.
Cover art: Paul, your revised #3 is on the path, though I would prefer the text a bit less... flat? If you wouldn't mind, could you pass me the image without text? I have an idea I'd like to try.
SPEAK UP if you have any questions/comments/or if you think you've uploaded a finished track and I'm somehow not seeing it.

I'm hoping to finish up this weekend but I've kinda run into some hardware issues I'm hoping to get figured out in the next few days. Somehow I managed to corrupt the project without realizing it. I'm going back and forth with elektron and they say it should salvageable. As I have been messing with a DAW during this process I quickly realized that I shouldn't have relied on the octatrack so heavily for this project. I'll let you know if I can't get it together but I'm pretty optimistic.

Hope it comes together, more importantly hope hardware frustrations generally get banished to far lands!
I opened my project file tonight, slid a few things in the background layers around and found that made for a generally more satisfying flow to my piece. Saved a file with a hopeful "maybe final" in the file name. It's definitely my favourite of the three Okta tracks I've constructed! All I need now is for my subconscious mind to supply a title.

Also! Very important!
If you want your track to be credited to something other than your ILF handle, please let me know! And there is room in the track's bandcamp "info" field to put your own bandcamp (or insta, or whatever link) or just a descriptive blurb, should you want one.
Moid I assume will be credited as Mushrooms in Stereo?

I had an idea for the cover, and instead of trying to explain, I got the image from Paul that he had used on the coolest of his concepts. What I wanted to do was incorporate the level 3 symbol from the Okta chart. So I got to this as a sort of expression of my idea (I think the more opaque + subtle I had the symbol the better?):
Is this... good? ("No!" is a fine answer, I'm not precious about this.) On the right track? Should we just kick it back to what Paul had above?
And for contrast, here's a couple other stops on the way:
