Yeah I have no problem with Mr. Barbour. He's a bit abrasive and direct but as someone said earlier in the thread, glass houses.Confuzzled wrote:I dig this guy because he comes across as consistently disgruntled. I have to appreciate that kind of dedication.

If Americans "cancelled" everyone who had attended an insane homophobic evangelical church 40% of the country would be unemployed.Confuzzled wrote: I'm not an expert one the person or their business but from what I've read over the years (please correct me if I'm wrong) he started out doing pedal mods, then clones, and started a successful YouTube channel that is produced quite well from what I've seen, so I have a few questions:
If everything about the hate church was true, why would boss partner with him?
If the hate stuff was true, why hasn't he been "cancelled"?
But the real reason is that very few people, relatively speaking, know about the homophobic church or the Devi Ever clone (or claiming an open source design as an original with his Supro pedal). Of the few who know, an even smaller number care. His pedals sell like gangbusters to worship guitarists... who are also playing at homophobic evangelical churches.
His biggest sin among people who might look at a place like I Love Fuzz is being an enormous fucking dweeb. He looks like a wax statue that was left out in the Florida sun too long.
Succeeding at capitalism is "doing something right"?I do not own any of his pedals, but he's obviously doing something right.
