Thanks for the porn $harktoootth and thanks for the edification tremolo3.

Since it appears the assembly is largely automated, yeah, I mean C. Words are important, hahaha.

Actually get around to overhauling my rig, but I have too much other grown up shit to buy first.

I think I need a new pedalboard. PTJR size will probably do.

sell shit.
Dude. If selling feces is feasible in 2018, then I'm going to be swimming in money.
I've got two dogs and my own personal supply if anyone is looking to buy some shit.
Sorry boys, a few decades too late on this one.

Tho, maybe the world is ready for a reboot

Goals for 2018.

Continue to search for a table top setup I can vibez with. Very much digging the battery operated beat boxes and synths these days. Though the digitakt is giving me that come hither look something fierce.

Get my Silvertone 610 ( 1485 ) back in fighting shape so I can run a stereo rig with the twin twelve.

Start rebuilding my pedal board with maybe an outward, tensor, or syntax error.

Actually play music with other humans.

But seriously #nogear2018.
WOW...I failed miserably at this. Whoopsie.

- Flip one of my amps, as I don't need two (Jazz Chorus vs. Fender Bandmaster - FIGHT!). Done! Kept the JC.

- Fuck around with the Grazer even more, to see if it stays.
- Copilot and Rochambeau tourbox hype.
- Being content with my current oscillating artillery. :zen:
I think I'm doing good thus far. :omg:

There are another 33 on my wishlist, but the last pedal to arrive here wasn't on it, so it's also possible that my 2019 top three will be the same as above and I'll have bought 10 pedals not on the list.

Last night I foolishly strayed from the path into the wonderful world of UC and Simon The Magpie's self-built noise making pedals, so as well as buying off the shelf pedals I'd like to have a go at making something along the lines of the Scrap Yard and the Door Stop pedals.

I don't have the knowledge to do any circuit bending, but I can drill holes and bolt things together without too much drama :)

Not built anything yet, but CT5 #2 is on the way :)

2) don't buy any pedals unless I also sell one (this might allow for one or two exceptions lol let's be honest)
3) new bass cab
4) 12 string electric?
5) make and release a lot more music
Hey I did a thing already. I have not followed the pedal rule YET but I may follow through by selling stuff when the new ones arrive. They can duel to receive the honour of my continued affection.

Looping loops with loopers in a loop:
Image
I want to get a bunch of these cheap Chinese loopers, including redundant OEM versions branded under different names. They're stupid and borderline useless, but I find them intriguing (and cute). They take me back to the first time I played with a YakBak in the 90's, which is where my obsession with sound recording and manipulation all started.

Anyway, I have been experimenting with bouncing loops back and forth and inside of feedback loops, layering things, time stretching, etc. It mostly ends up sounding like a lot of boring sonic mush, but it's still a lot of fun. I need more of them to really develop it, but I have this vision in mind for some sort of chaotic, psuedo-granular synthesis engine made up of multiple loopers, and based around manipulating and re-sampling lots of little snippets of sound from longer samples, producing granular clouds, random musique concrete soundscapes, out-of-sync flanging and delay effects, etc.

I also still want to get a Miku Stomp for some reason.

Dude I was thinking about the YakBak last weekend, for the first time in 20 years. Weird.
Couldn't remember if it 5s or 8s of sampling time without searching...either way it was fun for messing with pals

Edit: Looked it up and I'm 0/2 [6sec] :idk:
