Hmmm I use GLS pancake jacks, which are 20.75mm. It's cutting it a bit close. May fit. May not. As I said: it's not massively important at all. Just changes the amount of distance at the top of the pedal I have to account for - only slightly though so it really doesn't matter.

What about the jacks on The Thing? I'm guessing there's 2-in, 2-out, 1 exp-in, 1 power? Have I got that right? Where's the jacks located?

Sorry for being so pedantic.

No worries, it's slightly wider spaced at 22-23 mm.

Cool.

Main thing I need to know is whether it's top-jacks/jacks-on-either-side/top-and-side-jacks.

Everything is top mounted. Jacks are, In(stereo), Out(Stereo), Expression/CV, Ext tap, Auxiliary input (so you can use 2x mono signals without needing a 2x mono to stereo adaptor etc.)

Thanks for doing that demo! Can you solder smd? It's just 0805 stuff so I could tell you the ones to change if needed. I'd probably only maybe make it a lil darker, it gets pretty bright for an analog delay.

Another signal beam question:

"Each step can be an LFO with a different shape, frequency(subdivision of the tempo), bias and scale. "

Is each step one single oscillation no matter what the frequency is? E.g. one goaround of a sine wave

Or is each step the length of the tempo, and changing the frequency for each step will make the wave play out as many times as its subdivision is. E.g. if you set the subdivision to 1/8, will that step be comprised of a full eighth note LFO period 8 times? i.e. Similar to a Goatkeeper.

In either case, can you set non-even subdivisions - e.g. 1/3?

If you can let me know ASAP that'd be a huge help. I'm getting Copilot to make me a Broadband with 4-in 6-out. Was planning to use it with a Goatkeeper, the Signal Beam, and a Lightning Wave pedal (was gonna be the Doom). But then Lightning Wave threw a wrench in my plans when he came out with his own CV Generator, which suits my needs better (i.e. instead of getting a Doom). But because it has 2 CV outputs, now I have to decide whether I need to sell the Goatkeeper, or change the specs on the Broadband (not enough inputs) before he starts building it.

There you go guys. Not comprehensive in any way, but still.
DUUUUUUUUDE :omg:

That was the first time I'd gotten to sit down and watch that all the way through.
WELL FUCKING DONE.
Genuinely entertaining and you taught me how to use the damn thing properly when I'll I've been doing is fumbling around blindly for months.

I will concede, I got a bit inebriated the other night and while I was double phasing into the limbo I must have spent a got 10-20 minutes just playing with the oscillation.
It is so damn good.
Norwegian good.

Jonny, do I need to send mine back to you for an update/revision to cop some of those production sounds?
I feel like those one or two things that weren't a big deal are now a big deal.... :erm:

:poke:

Sorry for my countless annoying questions. Just need to know this before pulling the trigger on the Lightning Wave thing. If the Signal Beam does the Goatkeeper rhythmic stuff then it makes my decision a lot easier.

Homie is out of town on business so it might be a couple days before can get back with the in depth info.

I've now had a day with the little limbo. It's amazing. Seriously so fun, so pretty. Really intuitive. Modulation is incredibly rich and easy to get nice and subtle (how I always prefer it) or big and wacky when you're at home being silly. Arp and Envelope modes are so pretty and unique. Love it.

Yeah I got a really plush, almost Leslie-sequel chorus out of mine the other day.
As you said, "Rich".
Definitely boner inducing.

Compact Limboners.

Amen to that boner truth. It actually bumped my bloodmoon reverb off the board today (for now, at least) as I don't need a dark modulated reverb and a dark modulated delay. Option paralysis is my biggest creative enemy, so out with the old! The big plus of this is that means I throw on my deluxe plus, so now I'm often rocking the compact limboner, with a little reverb and trem after it for the prettiest little melodies. Seriously so excited to bring this new set up to practice tomorrow!

Nah, it responds to envelopes faster the further clockwise you go. It can also affect the depth a bit though too. I kinda get what ya mean though.

Yeah. Dat wash.

To be honest you could really just sit and fudge with dials and switches with no idea what you're doing and it's still amazing.
Just an effort to remember settings.

Should we start a Limboners settings thread?

I'd contribute once I have some set favorites. I'm still in the phase of random adjustments and happiness.
