My fiance and I talk gear all the time! In fact last night I was asking her if there was anything that would take the place of her DMM on her board, and we talked about what pedal she wants next.

Hey gents!

Small but major update today, we received the first batch of 125 drilled boxes. Hopefully we'll be able to drop them off with the powder coaters next week. I'm sort of a worrier and now I'm nervous there's going to be some unexpected surprise with that stage..that's just been how it's gone from the get-go, bit of progress then unexpected surprise and new plan and longer wait then a bit of progress. Our goal is to have these suckers powder coated and screen printed by the start of January.

Not much bigberator news just yet but I've been rounding up parts and ideas for the upgrades. I was thinking of putting up a picture of my bigberator breadboard once I get cracking on it, show you all the different sections of the circuit.

I've been pondering the spring simulation section a lot lately... I'm going to experiment with the Belton brick but ultimately I don't want to use it. The Belton brick is apparently a couple or few digital delay chips simulating the spring sound and I'd prefer to take my own crack at it too... I've often thought the SDD could cop a decent springy reverb tone with the right settings. (very fast modulation, very fast delay rate, good amount of repeats... just need some analog filtering to enhance the metallic nature of the sound.)

I figure the next update stage will be the powder coating so hopefully I'll have more news next week! Not sure if I mentioned it before but we're planning on doing the first 125 minis in a cool textured matte black finish with dark/light gray graphics/text, black knobs, switch cover, and bezel with a colour change LED. Next batch after that we'll do something bright and colourful

I was so so so so so so badly hoping to get to put up a picture of the powder coated miniberator boxes today but instead I found out that they won't be ready until January 4th. *looks down and kicks a rock* So on January 4th we'll have them and hopefully be on our way to drop them off with the silk screener for the final stage of this process!

In the meantime, off to the bigberator bread board!

Hey ob, I'm sorry but no.. this bigberator will be months and months away still. I have a lot of conflicting ideas and directions for this sucker and I think the miniberators will be our only reverb offering for quite some time.. at least the next fewish months.

I wanted an RRR, but my finances wouldn’t cooperate until late next month.
I missed my window.
I hope the Bigberator is so good it would have made me sell the RRR if I had gotten one.
