I don't think that's okay. And regardless, it's a fucking stupid belief....

Remember, if you are an atheist, there is no such thing as Hell!

But yeah, I don't think its ok to have that belief either. Quite the opposite in fact.

Does not mean Christian :)
All the same to me, bro. My point was that I don't care if people have supernatural beliefs. I know this thread is focused on Christians, but from my point of view this topic extends to all religions and beliefs.

Anyway, I agree with a lot of what has been said, and maybe most of all with what jwar wrote: Lets make a list of pedal manufacturers with bad business practises and crazy attitudes instead. Some Christians are homophobes, yes, but there are a hell of a lot of homophobes who aren't Christian as well. Let's make a list of homophobes instead of focusing on those who happen to be Christian as well as homophobes.

I mean, the bible isn't exactly clear on homosexuals. It can be interpreted that it's against, but fuck, the bible can also be interpreted to say that you should roam the streets blowing a horn on the first of every month and never shave. And I don't see most (or any?) Christians doing that. Point being: Assholes have asshole opinions based on being assholes (and bad upbringing etc.), not because they have faith. Any worldview can be used to defend being an asshole if you're already an asshole. Etc.

Agreed. On the other hand, I don't think that this thread is inherently unfriendly (although it got that way pretty quickly, reading through it). I actually prefer to know things like this, for reasons that are largely similar to retinal orbit's posts -- unsurprisingly, at this point, I'm pretty much on his page. Same with Dr. Ryan Scientist -- and I don't think the right approach is to shift the conversation, as has been suggested by some near and dear breaux.

Anyway, I'm not buying one of Jwar's pedals until he makes one without a clean blend. I put much more stock in that then in any religious beliefs.

incidentally, it's interesting to see what people post and where they're located.

I FIND COMFORT IN KNOWING THAT SEVERAL HUNDRED THOUSAND YEARS FROM NOW THE EARTH WILL HAVE WIPED OUT ALL OF OUR MONUMENTS
RELICS
AND ANY TRACE THAT YOU OR I EVER EXISTED
EXCEPT FOR SOME PEAVEY AMPS SCATTERED HERE AND THERE
MAYBE LODGED BETWEEN THE ROCKS OF A WATERFALL OR SOMETHIN
THIS IS THE TRUE GOSPEL

Yeah, I was tinkering around with an R2 unit when all of sudden out popped a holographic message from Princess Leia.

I was going to post about Traynor's outlasting Peavey's come the apocalypse - the whole throwing them off the roof thing reeks of christian mysticism, but then you drop some star wars science.

So.

Eschatology > Star wars > Traynor > Peavey.

I'd rather be dropping some The Hidden Fortress science, but, you know...
