sounds okay to me :idk:
they know who they're catering to with those demos but it still sounds like you could coax some cool sounds out of it.
if you look at the product page there's secondary knob functions and an 'auto-flange' feature that seems pretty neat.

i have a feeling you can't use the doubletracker side independently. like you engage the saturation then the double-tracking on top of that if you want. it's not really a double pedal in the same way as the flint.

as with all strymon stuff too, it sounds better in stereo, so if you like the demos done in stereo then go and plug one into your mono rig it will probably be underwhelming. i like the timeline enough but i thought the mobius sounded pretty flat in mono.

The new demo's still didn't do much for me, but now that I'm reading all of it's features, I am definitely glad that you can exp control any knob. So you could sweep from an slapback to a chorus, to a flange and back. That's pretty cool. The auto-flange is basically a momentary control where you can switch between whatever setting you have it on and the flanger setting. That could be useful depending on context.

those extended demos are decent but still there is nothing I would personally need in that pedal.
I have three strymons and think they represent excellent value for money and give incredible sounds (the Big Sky in particular is very epic) but none of the small ones really excite me.

I don't understand the appeal of any of their pedals, none are interesting to me. I guess I dont represent the target demographic.

Same here.
The only one that interest me a tiny bit is the Flint.

This, though I guess I do have this on-again off-again nagging feeling that I am missing something by not having an El Cap.

same. Replaced my 2nd el cap w/ a supa puss, and while it's great, the el Cap ran circles around it.

Strymons sound too clinical to me. Would that be the right word? I want my pedals to show quirks and have uniqueness to them, even is some of their settings are suboptimal. Strymons all sounds like a lifeless high budget recording to me. Granted, that's what certain players wants and they work it. :idk:

I've only ever been interested in the lex, just because I love rotary and the odds on getting a Hammond can down here arere astronomical before my weak ass budget gets factored in.
I wanted a timeline for a whle because i had some pretty cool and weird things in there, but realistically, I don't k ow how often I'd actually use them.

I love my BigSky and Timeline, and the possibilities are truly endless if you want them to be. I think they sound pretty freakin great. But to each his own.

That being said, I have no interest in the Deco one bit.

The Timeline is still probably the best delay I've ever had but I didn't need all the options. Fuck if I still don't want another

Agreed. Timeline and BigSky are fantastic and plenty weird if wanted. The Timeline looper is incredible as well, basically a DL4 with added options and control (once you add a midi controller that is).

I also sold and rebought a Möbius cuz I was missing some of the stranger effects it offered like Destroyer and Quadrature along with it's excellent trem, vibe, and rotary.

I love my Möbius. I didn't think a $450 pedal could be worth every cent, but that one was.

I've always been interested in the Mobius. Mostly because I have very little gas for modulation pedals and it would be wicked to get one that can just do like everything
Now that I'm getting more into synths the Big Sky seems a little more appealing to me though
