No, I did not read this entire thread before "necrobumping" (which sounds... just wrong, BTW). I just really love emo. I don't need to rehash our disagreement on the creative merits of Geoff Rickley's indispensable New Jersey seven-piece.

No, I cannot be traded. Although Donnie Darko traded his life for yours, and you should be grateful for that.

What are y'all listening to in this vein in 2015?

I've been digging the shit out of the new Wonder Years.
(The Greatest Generation was literally perfect so it's no small feat to follow it up so well.)

And the new Citizen.

Yeah, no.

But this dude just sent me a link to this, and it's giving me some feels: https://portiafading.bandcamp.com/ Am I emo now?

At first I was like, "Jesus, this album is called breath flows caressing a lips pour saliva. Prognosis is bleak."

But then I realize that they're from Japan so all bets are off re: genre.

I think you're still a regular human being.

For now.

Haha, nah, I'm not that tough. I hardly own black clothes, which as far as I understand is a big part of general toughness.

It's an ok, decently entertaining movie, but great? No.

Thanks for the diagnosis, though. Noticed the album was tagged as 'emo' and 'post-hardcore', immediatly thought of you.

This is pretty much literally the highest compliment you could have possibly paid me

I'm not sure if I even want to involve myself in this thread. Most of the records I buy are of such bands I suppose, but then emo/revival means so many different things to different people and I feel like it's all just a mess to get into at this point. I like some twinkly american stuff, off-key vocals, diy (or die) splits and brit/scot/german emo.

Love this band! Very nice guys as well. One of the guitarists also plays in an awesome screamo band called Ghostlate.

I love redundancies. Maybe it's that I grew up reading Jacob Two-Two...
