id really like to get this unit, but im noise* as fuck and will use two graphic eq's along side the rest of my shit. will my shit sound even moar fucked up if i use a DbA?




*noise meaning ill get a 2nd behringer eq from wal-mart, eat a shit.

If you listen to the clips of just the filter, it seems you can drive it pretty hard, so probably. & you can sweep the filter easier than with a band EQ.

i really dont know, if you could use both filters, or if one was different from the other, i think id like it better. i may just wait till someone flips theirs.

i use eq's the most with my table top setup's, and use them as a filters to sweep and scoop/boost/totally ravage the sounds going into them.

may not be for me, but id love to hear what other people do with it.

Then why'd you come up off that Downgrade? That thing is genius for that!

i wanted a more drastic sweep. its hard to explain. im not dogging the KKF at all. the downgrade will turn your sound into broken pieces of digital glass and shards of metal; I LOVED that. a good 6 band eq man handled when your source is a piece of scrap metal going thru 3 fuzz pedals gives you hardcore bottom end and ice pick eyeball gouging sound.

in a show, im literally sweeping, pushing sliders up and down. it fucks with your sounds awesomely. PLUS you have the gain boost.

these things are all tools, whether engaged and manipulated by hand or foot. sometimes cheap just sounds REALLY good.

Truth. I hear ya. Some of the best tone I ever made came out of a CB mic into a thrift store component cassette deck through my teenaged all-in-one turntable / radio / dual cassette stereo system. Playing a trumpet and an accordion into that rig was glorious. Perfect feedback. Big fan of those Radio Shack reverbs too.

Got mine Friday, but I've been moving all weekend, so I've had a whopping ten minutes with it. My first impression is that it is cool, but I need more time with it. It's my first DBA pedal, seems pretty well built. No complaints thus far!

Mine wont be here till the 7th! Someone please put some demos up so I can fill my fix until mine gets here. I am tired of hearing the few that are on DBA's site.
