Well, I let the VB-99 GAS run it's course. I am sure I will keep my eyes peeled for a "deal" for one. I still have a trade offer maybe in the works (it is between me and someone else, guy is deciding) for the older version V-Bass.
I also am like WTF I have a Chunk System Octavius Squeezer showing up tomorrow. Maybe after I spend time with it and learn to work it's crazy UI, I will be happy with my base Bass Synth sounds. If that is the case, I will be wanting a TimeLine with DMC controller again though....still, way cheaper than the VB-99 option

Apparently the Timeline takes about a week to less than a week to ship direct now...

Mine took a month. And everyone started getting theirs about 4-5 days before mine, and I emailed Strymon and they said there was a snag in my order and that didn't move it to the 'processing' stage. AKA I could have had it a week earlier. Other than that, their service has been pretty good.

I got mine in about a week and a half.

Guys talk me out of a Strymon Lex. I've wanted one so fucking badly for so long. I know I could just get a used Boss RT-20 for like 1/3 the money and get most of the way there. But the Lex is haunting my thoughts ...

SO what does the Lex do that the RT-20 can't? Is that worth 3 times the price?

The functionality is basically the same. But judging by the clips on the tube, the Lex just sounds so much more lush and accurate to a real Leslie.

fuck, why haven't you guys kept the flint a secret from me?

I actually wanted to know what you dudes think of a 70's Kramer Alu Neck. Some work to be done about it. It needs a bridge but I happen to have one flying about that would fit, pickups need to be mounted too. There are Schaller pickups, just the rings need replacement and fixing in place. The nut is not the roller type but an earlier, slotted version, which pretty much makes this guitar as old as me. I think they only used those nuts in 79. What do you guys think would be an appropriate price for this thing? Now I hope you say substantially less than what this is on offer for, because otherwise I might forget myself.

Are you planing to record with the Leslie sound or pretty much just play live?

SELL IT TO ME. But.... needing work, I'd say $400-$475 might be reasonable. I've been trying to sell shit off to buy one of these myself. The ones I have watched go off in the past few weeks have gone anywhere from $700-$925, in decent shape. I saw a Kramer aluminum bass body go for $250 two nights ago

I forgot to mention, it's the dmz-1000 model, so the least looked after one.

$350-$400 still seems pretty reasonable for needing work
