Tiger stripe dragonflies, yo.

They look like Mi-24s:

Or Mi-24s look like them.
Most of a dragonfly's life is spent in the nymph form, beneath the water's surface, using extendable jaws to catch other invertebrates (often mosquito larvae) or even vertebrates such as tadpoles and fish. They breathe through gills in their rectum, and can rapidly propel themselves by suddenly expelling water through the anus.

Okay...this doesn't quite qualify, but it IS alive and it's just too cool.
We have Ghost Plants growing around our house! So psyched on these.
They have no chlorophyll, and steal energy from photosynthetic trees...through a parasitic relationship with fungus that grows on tree roots.

Cool topic! Here are some images from in and around Savannah.
Alligator at the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. Hundreds, if not thousands, of gators there. No fences.

Baby gator:

Gulf fritillary butterflies. The caterpillars feed on passion vines that grow on my front porch, and they emerge like this... well... not having butterfly sex, but that is what they look like:

A spider in my yard:

And another spider-- I forget where I took this picture:

Some more gators:

Some Ibis:

This is a wasp egg that grows as a parasite on one of my trees. Wasp lays egg, tree grows around egg, egg hatches, larva eats way out. It has the consistency of a stiff grape when you break it open.

Aww... baby turtle:
