I've recently acquired a used BF-3 and a modded DS-1, really excited to add these to my board.

so, i got a taiwanese hm-2 and i noticed that it doesn't have as much low-end as its japanese counterpart. but, it does stand out in the mix more because of this, and its louder too.

gonna get me an RV-3 before the prices become even more ridiculous. plus every single band I could possibly wish to sound like has at least one on their board.

Yea, one and a Rat and a DST+ and a couple others in the GR-55. They're limited but sound good, even if they don't quite sound like what they're emulating.
And I'd rather a 'sounds good, can use it' in a multi box, I can get wierd from the other pedals.

For the right price, I'd actually be interested in picking up some of those random boss od/distortions...0D-20, DN-2, OS-2, MZ-2...

Fuck, I had a guy do a "plexi mod/mid boost switch" on the DS-1, sounds great. Really, really great. Flanger rules too.

I feel like there's a DS1 joke here, but at the same time, boss made several orange dist/fuzz/etc boxes.

First pedal I owned was a Black Muff...first I played was a Grunge. Have yet to try one of those mega-distortions.

fixed
We should start a boss temp trades kind of thing. That way everyone can try all these gems we are talking about, plus some of the not so good ones.
