it's a logical category product, a line-filler, a product for people to buy who already like other Strymon products. and to be fair, it could be a category-killer, though my interest in a digital trem is minimal...if i want a digital tremolo, i have a PodXT. i'm disappoint, and totally zzzzzzz, but they'll probably sell heaps of them.

you would think with there brain power and knowledge they would be able to push the envelope and make something off the wall and interesting instead of being so safe

Yeah, but they've also gotta remember what sort of brand they've created. The Hugging Fuzzes get a lot of love here, but if Tom would try to put out some sort of 3 knob transparent Tubescreamer "killer" (read "clone") for 300 bucks it wouldn't work - it would water down the brand he's built up, and the target market would be like "WTF, I don't want no dentist toanz from that Algal bloom dude, he knows NOTHING about TOAN. Now let me look at that molar of yours". I just don't think that Strymon is that sort of brand, which sucks for a lot of people as they put out awesome products - you naturally wonder what would happen if they thought outside the box a bit, but it aint going to happen.
Wait for the new subdecay instead... (FANBOY WOOT

i must be the only one here who is interested by this. strymon make top gear and i'll wager this thing will put out sounds no one can anticipate just yet. i'll wait for a detailed description and demo before judging it. i have no idea what other forums think nor do i give a rat's ass.

Strymon stuff is great, but I'm just bummed they didn't go full on trem.
I'd rather have a fully featured trem than 3/5 reverb and 2/5 trem.

I'll wait for some demos... But I could definitely use something like this for my solo music.

I mean, I see the market for this thing, this is for all the dudes that have the single channel amps with no reverb and trem, now they get to add reverb and trem to their amp. But yeah, it is pretty fuckin meh for me personally. But all the lawyers and dentists will wet themselves over it so they can play more dadrock.

(dk looks at rig) one, two, three, four, FIVE reverbs and a tremolo...i don't need it unless it makes sandwiches or gives blow jobs.
