Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but nearly all Danelectros are Semi-hollow and usually have lipstick pickups. I have a 90's U2 and it's lovely. Granted there's no f-holes for that semi-hollow look... but yeah.

satin finishes give me creeps
i don't quite understand why i'm such a bitch when it comes to purchasing something new... especially expensive... especially El Cap... considering not buying it at all and buying a simple analog echo plex homage instead

Gimme an old neck any day. My 80s jag's neck (satin) is goooooorgeous and no new guitar I've tried has ever been anywhere near as good.

Why hasn't Rickenbacker adopted a bass bridge that isn't a huge pain in the ass to adjust?
Why are necks that require removal for truss rod adjustment still made?
because rickenbacker makes Gibson seem reasonable and progressive with how little they change.

How anyone can hate playing roundwounds..it's so beyond me!
How freaking small a guitar fretboard is. It's practically a mandolin to me.
Ok, serious-face time. I don't quite get...midscoops. Ewwwww.

trust me. a mandolin makes a guitar fretboard seem gigantic.

Because: They sound like shit, they feel like shit, they look like shit, they tear the shit out of your hands, they grind shitty groves in fretless fingerboards, all they are good for is making shitty scraping noises are far as I can tell and I keep cheap a shitty squire P with shitty roundwounds for doing just that type of shit.

Eh, rounds have their place. Personally I can't stand stainless steel rounds or otherwise noticeably bright strings though. I'm liking flats a lot more lately.
Also, every guitar should be linear volume, audio tone

I don't understand how it's possible to use the thumb on pickup style after trying "floating" for a day.
