dark beer is rich in antioxidants, but I can clearly attest to its inability to assist in weight loss.

Yeah beer is not for weight loss, and I have yet to find a light beer worth drinking.

Pub Draught Guiness is basically a light beer, but it is super expensive for it's quality.

Your better off drinking water, and eating fruit, as opposed to drinking fruit juice. This can also aid in weight loss if that is your goal.

weight loss is the goal, cucumbers and oranges for snacks today.
The blue stuff is probably pure chemicals so I should probably start working the water a little harder.

I used to be a big fucking tub of lard. Like the well-over-3-bills kinda big. When my wife and I got engaged, we both agreed to lose weight before the wedding, which was 14 months hence. In those 14 months I went from 317 to 226. (my wife also did great and lost about 60 pounds)
I held that weight steady for 2 years, and then I gained about 20 of it back last year when my wife was pregnant with our first son. Now I'm planning on going back on a diet this fall/winter, and losing those 20 pounds, and hopefully about 10 more. I'm a big-framed guy, so I feel like 210-215 or so is a healthy weight for me.
Well, I talked to the wife, and agreed to restart the diet on Monday. I'm gonna do my usual and set two loss goals, I'll go with 20 and 40 pounds this time. Which sets my end-goal weight at 210. I might post weekly updates here just to keep myself honest. Wish me luck!
Forgot to post an update yesterday. At the one week mark, I've lost 3.2 pounds. That is just about perfect, if I can keep that pace up.

My doctor told me this morning that if I don't come to Jesus about my level of fitness right now, very shortly I'll be going to see Him regardless. Cholsterol 288 (LDL 200), Blood glucose elevated. 260 lbs (I'm 6'2").
He's sending me to a trainer, who's supposedly going to whip my ass into shape (both physical and dietary) on a weekly basis, with zero tolerance for bullshit and the usual excuses. Stress test tomorrow.
