Futuresailors approves of a science finish!
If you can order smaller batches from the silk screener, you could do a multi batch run of the periodic table by splitting it into sections, so if you collect all of them you've got a complete image!
New favourite for teh heeveez:
Gain: 100%
Volume: loud
Mix 100%
Gain: Up
Clip: Up
Buss cut: Down
Mid freq: Down
Bass: 80%
Mids:55%
Treble: 65%

Well Blake, that's probably the best setting ever right there. Nicely done sir!
Our box guys have a minimum of 125 so we'll probably never get to do a cool run like you're talking about (unless we did it in vinyl but that probably won't happen). Sure would look cool though, I love the idea!
Science!
Especially quantum stuff, geeez particles are cool.

yeah I've seen this, kind of funny :-)
I have a question Ryan :
I found the average output level of my elements a bit high. It's no big deal but, when I need an high gain sound, I have too set the volume setting quite low to keep the mix between "with and without" quite balanced...(usually I don't need a volume boost when I need to switch from a clean to an high gain sound).
Usually, with my other pedals, when I set everything to 12 o'clock (let's say gain & volume), the difference in volumes between ON & OFF is quite low.
With the element, I need to drastically lower the volume knob the get the same result.
Just wanted to have your advise on this. Or maybe I can tweak something myself to lower the average output volume on my elements ?
Don't know if my english and explanations are clear enough
Thanks Ryan for your answers !

There's a few reasons for the Elements to be loud... first, high gain is just plain loud.
The clipping options lower the volume so you need extra volume for that.
The EQ options can lower the output a lot too, like scooping all the mids out, so you need extra for that.
Depending on the clean mix settings a lot of volume might be needed to match the level. Say you use the clean blend mostly set clean, the drive volume will have to be high to compete.
Lots of guys run drive pedals into amps that are already cooking and maybe don't have much clean headroom left so when they add more volume from the Elements their amp doesn't get louder but they add even more saturation to their amp.. those guys like a lot of extra volume.
All that stuff adds up to needing lots of extra volume... after all, nothing is less acceptable than not having enough volume right!

Hey thanks for your explanations Ryan, I'll try again to play with the settings next week.
Yesterday it was allready better after putting all my other effect pedals into the amp loop (sounds weird but...).

Jerobud, do you have an Elements now?
Well after many months of playing with the Elements my fave settings always have the midrange knob all the way up or all the way down. That's where my fave tones live, at the ends of the midrange knobs.

Here's a new sound I've found with the Elements... kind of dirty/clean with some sparkle.

I recently purchased a used Elements on Ebay and can't wait to get it. Is their any difference between the different designs of this pedal, for example the steam-punk version and the original besides cosmetic?

Welcome to the forum, pedllvr! That'd be a sweet license plate too.. you got that in real life on your car?
There's been a couple little tweaks here and there with the Elements... I've used a few different clipping diode schemes as I think a few sound cool and it was hard to choose... also, some of the earliest black ones were set up to run kind of hot and I've since dialed that in a bit.
Mainly though, like 98% of the difference will be just cosmetic.
Let me know if you have any other questions about it and I hope you enjoy it!
