Anything the El Cap does that the Timeline doesn't?

I don't know this to be fact, but from what I heard the Timeline doesn't have all the "Tape Head" modes that the El Cap does. I'm sure one of the guys here can chime in with the specifics on the dTape mode on the Timeline. I do know that it doesn't do the sound on sound looping, if that's more your cup o' tea.

I was sold on this pedal when the teaser photos were released months ago, then Strymon did some fantastic demos (like always), but now with these new demos coming out    it kind of makes me regret going for the Space for my birthday. I know I needed to put the Space at the top of my list, because I was afraid I wouldn't care as much if I got the Timeline first. I think I'm beginning to know myself too well. Oh the suffering of a gear slut.

Haha! You know it's good when even the wife is convinced!

mondernage summed it up pretty thoroughly, single-head mode only and no looping capability. I've never owned an El Cap so I can't directly compare but the Timeline dTape modes sounds incredible! I'd assume it's mostly the same....

Same situation over here, picked up the Space first due to availability. While it's easily the best verb I've ever tried, if choosing one or the other, the Timeline is the CLEAR choice. Owning both is an even better prospect but there's definitely some overlap and the Timeline dominates these "similar" sounds, imo.

Haha I'm right there with you on that. I'm actually having delusional thoughts of hitting up a pawn shop. And they don't seem too bad.

it'S mynameizbryan... that guy's so good he even makes women confused and thinking they care about this stuff and even support it...

anyway... it looks incredible, i'll give you that... but when i imagine buying it, i can pretty easily imagine being totally overwhelmed by the possibilities and ending up selling it because it's too much

it's ike with the superdelay... i'd love to try one some day, but i'm afraid to buy because of the situation mentioned above

damn i weren't even able to use my SMMH's potential :(

I'm loving mine, still honeymooning HARD with this one.

My MIDI controller is in the dreaded "build/ship" phase but I plan on using it for a variety of control, primary and secodary looper functions included. I'll get back with my findings when I find them, shortly.

Also, I've read about some glitches and other issues that Strymon will be fixing on the first update but I haven't really experienced any "bugs" with mine. Some differences of opinion on functionality features, however, nothing has frozen or cut out or whatever complaints TGP is coming up with, not yet at least.

Alright, so the MIDI stuff is all worked out by Matt (Disaster Area Amps) and my controller is on the way. Some bumps in the road but now all is well. I have a 4 button model but here's a quick demo he made of a 3 button version in action. Looks perfect and plenty small which is good cause I'm running dangerously low on board space.
