I'm seriously so stoked on this thread right now.

I've been working at a brewery for the past three years now (paid mostly in beer which is awesome) and there's seriously nothing better than BEER and FUZZ!

Cool! What brewery?
I was just talking to a guy that worked at a local Budweiser plant. He said that they were allowed to drink beer, for free, throughout the day. At some point, they got sued for making employees alcoholics, so they could only drink "underground".

I thought alcohol stopped aging once it was bottled...

I work for Stone Brewing Co. in San Diego. I do tours of the brewery, and I get to drink a beer while I do them. It's fucking sweet.

Beers that are <10% alcohol should be drunk within 3 months of bottling or they can spoil. anything >10% should preserve for a good 3 to 5 years. Depending on the dominant ingredients, some beers get sweeter or less bitter or mellow and velvety.

They're good to me, generous with the beer, and understanding of the musician's life. If you ever find yourself in SD hit me up for beer love.
Oh yeah, and Ruination kicks the ass!

Dude, that's awesome that you work at Stone. Big fan of the Arrogant Bastard, Double Bastard, and the Russian Imperial Stout (when I can find it)

As a homebrewer, I'm always inspired by the microbreweries that "make it"

I had a Left Hand Fade to Black Smoked Porter for the first time the other night, and liked it WAY more than I thought I would. I'm actually considering picking up a 6-pack of it - there's a place down the street from me that sells them.
Oh, and they also carry Pretty Things, which is New England local, I think. I wanna pick me up some Pretty Things... they've got both the Jack D'or and Baby Tree. I'm leaning towards Baby Tree at the moment.

Heh...my uncle would love this thread...
He's definitely the beer afficianado (was gonna say conoseur but didn't know how to spell it

) of the family.
The reason I quoted your picture there is that reminds me of him...just a couple weeks ago I was at his house and he had a similar set-up..glass just like that, but a home-brew beer instead of the Pretty Things Baby Tree.
