yeah for real. If my beatstep hadn't had back jacks I maaaaay have kept it??/ I would have found it a lot harder to part with anyway because it just would make them so much more companionable to modular and other patchable gear

such a weird design choice.
i'm moist about the SQ-64 whenever it ships, but even that has Back Butt Jacks.

I've honestly strongly considered buying/building a patchbay to bring all the patch points on the back of the Matriarch to somewhere more visible. I'm actually still very tempted to do this and really might one day

Yeah I imagine this is the reason. But it's big time grrr for CV haha. Wouldn't even have to be THAT much bigger?

I will probably sound dumb af but if I want to send the L and R outs from my RT mix02 to my outboard mixer, do I need two 3.5mm (TS) to 1/4 (TS) cables or two TRS ? There is also 3.5 TRS to 1/4 TS... Not sure which one I need.

Oh I didn't even thought about using the headphone out for sending to the mixer. In that case I think I already have the cables to do it.

i, also, have the EXCITES.
i am so fucking in love with the SubHarm that i've been using that for all melodic stuff lately. No Coast sounds so good for being so simple though. looking forward to filling my Strega Hole between the No Coast and No Ctrl.

I have almost purchased that giant fuckin' ADDAC granular + expander module(s) so many times this week. Farts is it expensive, tho! Gonna have a module clean-out soon, methinks.

Oh man, I'm going to have to check that out. I've decided to hold off on any samplers for now and focus on the Mutable Beads that I ended up pre-ordering, but that could change things...

Beads strikes me more as an effect (like a Boss DS-1) whereas the ADDAC strikes me more as a voice (like Morphagene et al.).

I'll confirm that Beads is a little more effect-y than a sampler. Like you obviously can treat it like a sampler, but you can't save and recall multiple samples. The time stretching is pretty sick though.
Here's my first run through with Beads, processing two Plaits (doing its Rings-y thing):

All I've wanted to do so far is make soft, pretty sounds with it. I'll have to explore some more aggressive sounds soon.

Oh I definitely agree that Beads is more of an effect than sampler, but like I said I'll make due with it for now.
I'm also impressed with all of the little extras in Beads, like the built in mod sources and the wavetable oscillator

Juno has beads in stock. $318 shipped to us.
L&Mq had it last time I checked, but at full price.
