That is too damn funny, how can some people be so moronic?

It happened like 20 km away from where I live. I kinda like this version of the story more, it's more similar to what has been appearing in the local news:

So....
not because of how it sounds or anything, but I am getting rid of the VB-99 and all the stuff that I have for it. Too much schooling to spend my time programming stuff. The programming isn't hard, but I love to twiddle and tweak, so I don't get a lot done.
I am going back to pedals. I am going to run my B3K in parallel with my Magnetar and have clean blend footswitchable thanke to a Wounded Paw v3 Blender. I am thinking of buying a MarkBass SuperSynth (for the third time!) and buying a MXR 10 band EQ to use with it to overcome the playing solo at home with the MBSS and disappearing at band practice, at least I hope that will be a decent fix. I think i am going to buy a Boss PH3 (phaser), I can manually sweep it with an Expression Pedal (probably move back to Faye Sing in the near future), maybe a cheap Visual Sounds Liquid CHorus. For Delay, I think I am going to give the Vox DelayLab a shot. I really want Dan's Hexe BitCrusher, I have to acquire this stuff and maybe a better PSU first. I think I will be able to do a lot with that board, I also have my JWAR R2D2 true bypass looper to control some o f the madness. I will probably want to add a trem in the nearish future (Tremolessence).
What you think?

Nothing wrong with going back to pedals. Being able to re-build your board is fun and you get to channel your inner JWAR.

For chorus you should save up and wait for Dr. Ryan to release the ultimate Cosmichorus which is a few months away. The Delaylab seems like a cheaper Timeline. Do you want a lot of different delay types? If you don't, there are far sexier options available.

The selfish part of me is saying :yay: :yay: :yay:! I love pedals. I like opening the boxes when they arrive, twisting knobs, fitting them on a pedal board, figuring out cable length, how to power them, and now, how to personalize them through Dan's etching. So... I'm bias. :hello: The thing is though, you've already got all of the stuff. So you're on your way. For me the answer would lie in, what do I like better (Pedals or VB-99) and take that path. Everything will take time, including twisting knobs, so that part is generally the easiest to deal with.

Otherwise, that seems like a great start back on the pedal wagon. I've been eyeing Dan's Hexe BitCrusher as well but this move (residence) is making just about everythig impossible right now.

Haki:
For me, I could take or leave chorus, although a Dr Scientist Cosmichorus or an IE Polytope does sound sexy. I am willing to drop $40 on the Visual Sound one because I have had one in the past and it gets the job done. I would have to save my pennies for a bit for either of the better options above.

I had a TimeLine, loved it, sold it to help finance a bass. I was kind of considering the Flashback. Why I am thinking DelayLab though is I want one type of really ambient delay, pretty much with reverb and don't want to buy a reverb pedal, Delaylab can do that. I do like Filter Delays, Lo-Fi, Parallel Dalays, Rythmic Delays. I can make presets with those, and use an Expression pedal to control any parameter, and it can be different parameters on each patch. All of this for $200. Plus a looper. Seems like a win to me. I don't have to have all of this but for that price, I'll take it.
What delays were thinking of?

WaterPilot:
The VB-99 is top notch, no doubt, I think it is just overkill for using in my band right now, I love using effects, but I don't want to change the whole character of the band. I think I can do most of what I would try to fit into the band, good enough, with these pedals. Of course there is always room to move up, piece by piece in the pedal game. I love the chase, thrill, hunt for the pedal that I want.

I've got the Flashback and like it but I haven't gotten into delays as much as I should. I think Bhendy has played with one so he could give you the pro's/con's if you haven't messed with one yet. The Vox seems like a great way to go and something I'd like to try. Just seems so HUGE space wise. But, like I've always said, if the pedal is fantastic, I'll make the space.

Megalith is on my to get again list, after I get this board functional, toward the top!
Magnetar will hold it down on the MoutainKing front.

You still got that power supply JWAR? PM
