This song legitimately changed my life:

Had I not discovered this song I'd still be exclusively listening to Pink Floyd and post-Revolver Beatles.
Explain to me what's vaguely "folk" about it.

The last page has lead me to believe there are two different bands called Arcade Fire, that you are mixing up.

And I can definitely through out a term like baroque pop legitimately when we're flooded with infinite metal subgenre bullshit.

qfe

maybe it's just a generational thing, or a desire for uniqueness, but sub genre's are totally legitimate.

These bands have become just as cheesy as the hair bands from the 80's. There're too many warm, oaky, analog love songs, it's time for some cold, machined, digital hate.

Wanted to get a custom Maxline ATA case, but shipping will apparently be $100-$150 plus any Custom fees that they'll obviously add on.

Other than the initial mention of Arcade Fire being folk, I think all other posts were a just derail noting how hard they suck.

That being said, although I still don't like them, this performance kicks ass:

The musical makes you feel out of breath, and actually reminds me a lot of the Pogues in a way. Of course, smashing your guitar on national tv is a real poseur move.

Think I just got punked out in a facebook group that organizes shows around Milwaukee because I'm not in the "in" crowd and because I ask to play in a lot of local show's that they post are being planned on their page.

but then he wrote "No Offence"

What the fuck!

Not in the crowd, not in the group. You've got to play by the goddamned cool kid rules, or lone wolf it like a real artist. They get upset when they find out an outsider is using them as a means to an end.

No offence.
