I've had one for a few months. I have a gate expander and a DIN MIDI breakout, as well. It works. The possibilities are pretty exciting, but the execution is fairly boring. You pretty much have to have a computer nearby and a USB-C to USB-A cable so that you can use the web interface to program it. You can do it without the computer, but keeping track is a nightmare.
Pros:
-Expandable and flexible
-Programing very simple with computer
-Very easy to assign a Channel/CC to an output and be done
Cons:
-Can't find the FHX-8CV to save my life right now
-Takes a lot of pre planning to make it work if you're not doing an MPE Keyboard
-One known bug with multi channel MPE and gates locking on (I'd expect to be fixed soon.)
-Have to save/load both "presets" AND "configurations" (I think this is more an issue for me because of my lack of familiarity with DAWs and the fact that the Sensel Morph kind of makes this setup a moot point.)
The Sensel Morph also needs a computer to be programmed and it's kind of a pain. But a generic MIDI keyboard works fairly simply and I've been happy. If you're just looking for keyboard only MIDI to CV, you might want to look at the Poly 2. My understanding is that's supposed to just "work." I personally don't think I need that. I think I've decided that trying to make a polyphonic keyboard controlled eurorack synthesizer is a nightmare. Monophonic is fantastic, though. Having 5 CV outputs for one note is really powerful. Also very useful to take something like the Buchla Thunder overlay on Sensel Morph and give each of the pads different jobs (assuming you have enough outputs) and it can be a very powerful interface.
Thanks a bunch. A friend owed me a deal and I got the FH-2, DIN midi, gate and cv expanders in a powered pod. It includes 24 3.5mm to banana cables and a ground banana in the pod.
I have a Sensel morph w/Thunder overlay. I plan to mostly use with my Bugs and Serge banana systems.
I figured if I don’t love it, I will get some other Euro sequencing in that pod.

I will say, I haven't tried to use anything that's not using the FH-2 as an interface. I haven't tried any of the LFO, Clock, or Arpeggiator functions.

FH - never used, but dug the interface to the ES-9 a lot? that wassssss always connected to my computer with a USB cable though, so. murp?
Knurlies - yah. i like Knurlckles, have a ton of them, don't use them. when changing modules a lot? USEFUL. i still use a driver with them most times, but way easier to get seated. but for more rarely swapped setup, plastic screws ftw. zero rack rashins, lower profile, like $4 for fitty.

Ive never owned a Clouds or any granular focused module. But I pre-ordered a Beads. We’ll see how that goes?

Clouds is one of the modules that I've always wanted to grab again when they released the new version. Too bad I don't have any euro gear anymore. At least there's a Clouds mode in the Organelle that I can use

I never really looked into Clouds for whatever reason, but after the last couple of Mutable modules I've acquired recently I am very interested in Beads.

Cute!!!
I have never tried a Clouds, so IDK how I feel about Beads. On paper it sounds... cool? so I will check out some videos and see what I think. Would have to fight for space with other stuff though lol

I never tried a Clouds but never needed to because EVERYONE ELSE ON THE PLANET OF EARTH HAS SATURATED THE MODULAR ATMOSPHERE WITH CLOUDS SOUNDS. The same will happen with Beads. No one needs Beads because everyone has Beads, get it? Beads sold out so no one should even try and buy more Beads, homie. There's already enough Beads music out there with all the influencer vids and IG posts and what-have-you. I say, discontinue Beads.
n.b. Would not turn down an opportunity to try a Beads.

My modular journey started with Clouds and it's still an incredible module, so of course I had to order Beads - considering it's the last new MI design.
I haven't vibed 100% with all my Mutable gear but I really love the design philosophy and innovation Emilie has brought to the table with her company so I'm happy to support this module on release.
The update seems awesome and I'm looking to get my hands on it soon. I want to make a Mutable-only rack for inspiration but my 104 skiff is a little too small for that and my 208 case is slightly too big to house everything, so I'll have to think outside the box on how to set it up/what else to throw in the rack. I'm still hungry for a nice case that can fit on my desk but I simply don't have enough desk space.

Yes this is true/10. It is exactly why I have never got a Clouds and why I will probs never get this either.
