In one of my aquariums, I have two fish that mainly eat shrimp because they're fussy. Every time I feed them, I thaw out one piece of shrimp in microwave, then head up to the tank. I cut it up into pieces and leave half in the bowl. I put a few pieces in, watch them eat, then go downstairs. When I go back to feed them, there's no shrimp in the bowl and there's one or two strands of cat fur in the bowl instead.

Why does my cat insist on trolling me? At least it's not as bad as the time he scared me in the bathroom.

I have a spider bit on my left side. It hurts really badly, I put some basitrasen on it and then covered it with gauze and taped it on using medical tape, so we'll see what it looks like in the morning.

If you're not 100% sure it's a spider bite you should get it checked out.
It could be MRSA.

I hope it doesn't ulcerate and become gangrenous...a former roommate nearly lost his foot when he refused medical treatment for a painfully (lulz) obvious example of a brown recluse bite for nearly 2 months. if shit does get real, you should def post pics though

I really don't get why people do that, if there is ever a problem it only makes a faster and more comfortable treatment. I feel bad after not going to the Dentist in a year +, I'm going tomorrow and I can predict my first filling at 22.

I have a good friend who lives a couple states away from me, who just landed a tattoo apprenticeship. Normally, I would be stoked for him, except he HAS NEVER BEEN TATTOOED.

I wish him the best, but fuck the shop doing it for being totally unprofessional assholes, and I really want to give him a piece of my mind, except I know it will only make us less of friends. Sigh. I basically have both arms sleeved, my whole left side covered, my right lower leg pretty well covered, some shit on the left leg, my chest covered, and now my stomach. As someone who has been tattooed this much, and befriended a very talented and nice tattooer through it, I have to say that if you haven't been through some of this, there's no way in fucking hell that you should be handling tattoo machines. Goddammit. Had to vent that.

While I understand completely where your coming from, its the recipe for a heavy handed artist that makes you feel like you in a torture chair, I have to say one of the best artists I've had the pleasure of working with was completely ink free. Some of them are just so indecisive about stuff on their own body that they can never commit to getting one. But at the same time they'll never understand the pain aspect, and the mental focus aspect of being tattooed. If your friend is an amazing artist, and an empathetic person he'll have no issues. Otherwise he'll learn real quick with the first 6'5" 280lb man-hulk he digs in to hard on.

want vs. need, in regards to your own happiness and sanity, and the effects it can have on people you care about... it's for the birds, but necessary.

The other aspect of it is about putting in your dues to an artistic culture with a rich history. I'm sure I don't need to say it, but only in recent years has it become as acceptable as it is. It was illegal in New York from 1961 until 1997. YES, 1997!

It's the difference between say, learning traditional martial arts (which I also have done) at the slow and tedious pace required to get really good and learn what it is actually all about, so to say, and getting some weiner two-year black belt from "Karate USA" or whatever. I haven't met many (ANY) tattooers who hold any sort of professional respect for those tattooers who do it even though they've never been tattooed themselves. If you're making a living off of it, why would you not ever experience it? Also, if they're so indecisive about getting one themselves, then maybe they shouldn't be putting them on other people. Just sayin'
