Still emulating multiple consoles from childhood and early adult years that weren't accessible before discovering Retroarch and developing an increasing affinity for the "Cute 'Em Up" genre, e.g. Parodius series, Harmful Park, Magical Chase, etc. Also got a proper 8bitdo Pro USB controller to replace a progressively dying Steelseries POS special from 8-10 years ago.

Epic's started talking about UE5, so that's cool.

With extra time on my hands right now, I downloaded Dwarf Fortress a few days ago and that has managed to occupy my mind for a good chunk of the week. I had one serious-ish go at it maybe five years ago, so tackling it again really gives one a lot to try and get a grip on. And also werebisons.
Still rockin' the DF. This has held my attention far longer than expected!

DF is the best game!!!! I haven't played it in years but one of these days I'll get back to it. It's a seriously amazing piece of work.

It's not until I saw the trailer again today that I realized every time y'all mentioned Dwarf Fortress I thought you were talking about Deep Rock Galactic.
Anyway, DRG officially released a couple days ago, so that's cool.

woah nostalgia gland activated. I didn't even know there was a SoR 3 but me and my friend played so much of 1 and 2 back in the day.

SoR 2 was my childhood. That soundtrack still influences me.
SoR 3 is...ehhh. It has a lot of content and unlockable characters (including a boxing kangaroo), and some of the graphics are better, but the levels feel kinda soulless in comparison to the first 2, and the soundtrack is awful IMO. Like garbled techno farts. I think it just didn't mesh with the Sega's sound abilities.
I haven't beaten 4 yet but so far it's just like the good old days.

There is a fan-made game called Streets of Rage Remake on PC, it's free and it combines the best of the old games. It's actually so full of content I got kinda burned out

My wife got it "for me" this weekend... But her switch light will be here in 3 days and she wants to play together, so yeah, mostly for her

Mario Odyssey has been oddly addicting.

"Borderlands" franchise is a top franchise. "The Pre-Sequel" never felt right to me but I love it anyway, except the fight with the fucking airplane. "2" is absolutely one of the best games of its era and seeks a place among the great games of all time, atmo. I never finished its 4th DLC because difficulty but hope one day to conquer it hard-core.

Anyone else on "Risk of Rain 2"? I'm past 200 hours at this point and still coming back now-and-again.

Games beat during Coronavirus close downs-

Far Cry (all of them but 1 and 2. I LOVE this series. It's crazy good!)
Metro Exodus (amazing game but has some glitching sometimes)
Shadow of the Tomb Raider

uhhh there was a couple more too but I can't remember.

Currently beating Gears of War 5. It's a great game but glitches too. So annoying.
