lol. i don't mind the interface. it's the size of that damn screen that gets annoying.

have you tried the Hemisphere fw? it's more basic but verbose.

i have tentative excites.

murf. annnnnd have a Sample Drum headed in again. i want to have a separate little self contaned yarea with the semi modulars.

oooooooo correction! seems i have ANTLERFACE'S Sample Drum incoming. woot!

was going to go with this above the SubHarm -

wanted to be able to noodle/work on ideas with a chunk of loot pretty disconnected from the rest of options? narrowing down to expand kind of thing?

still not sold at alllllll on Clouds/Typhoon, but want to finally dedicate some time to it.

Funny, I'm actually finally considering a Clouds as part of a workflow. It just took actually having an idea that is granular synthesis dependent.

i wannnnnt to like it? i like the idea of granular synthesis. i've had fun with granular synthesis on other devices. but i might have to admit that i only enjoy it if there's a screen and i can see the Vruh Vreee spastic movement splices?

To all the peeps doing 0-Coast + 0-Ctrl + Strega, let me know if you find a stand for all 3. I really like those enclosures they come in and I don't want to install them in a eurorack case, but I definitely want to compact their footprint a bit for a mini-system on my desk.

Hm no well I've never tried any. I just read up on them and initially got excited for functions then saw how it works and... eh IDK. Maybe I will have a further look. I'm still looking around for perfect sequencer/quant

jia. i mean. i plan to leave it in Dual Quantizer on one side, then the other as Utility As Necessary. lol. ooooooor as Branches then move it if i need something else.

it has neat stuff. like there's a little Kick and Snare drum source, there's a 8 or 16 pattern sequencer (i think 8 has 2 outs, 16 has 1?), there's Euclidian and a ton of logic stuff. really feels like a (not quite as far reaching) Disting, but with a screen. i've been tempted on the Disting XL, but. this does things for me. things for my PANTS. i hope? it used to.

also, got contacted by Haki! WOOT. love that guy. glad he's doing well.

also also, i really want an Ekdealadlfkhel Moisssssssssty Riser. but. they're nowhere? not clicking with my Oto Machines, except the BAM, have the other two listed here if anyone's looking for one -

Haven't really unlocked the full value of the crush switches but it's pretty sweet as a straight up delay.

Befaco quality is really good.

Yeah this makes a lot of sense. I should look into it and see if there's a mode I would just use all the time - definitely is great in theory but it's all about whether you enjoy using stuff. Disting EX is super tempting yeah, but ultimately, probably meh for me. going to flip my mk4 I think because the interface/limited functionality of each mode are more annoying for me than it is useful to have it around?

Speaking of enjoying using stuff, I've had the Varigate 4+ a few weeks and I'm not really sold on it so far. It's fun for gates, and pretty cool for tweaking while you have a sequence, and I really like the feature set (which is why I bought it). But the method for setting the NOTES is just a bit fiddly and stops being FUN for me. Even though technically it does the trick, the interface may just be a bit too annoying. Sigh.... sequencers suck

I got modular ants in the pants again after mostly playing non-modular electronics for the past eight months or so. Picked up a SSF Entity Percussion and TipTop Hats 909 to freshen the rack.

What's an efficient module to get a lot of VCAs? My system lacks VCAs, man.

Mutable Veils? New version is 4 VCAs in 8hp. Also acts as a mixer and has variable response curves. Intellijel Quad VCA is the same, but slightly bigger

i am glad you've had good luck with Befaco. them and Blue Lantern Modular (lol. dunno if it's neat that that ends up BLM or maybe they should change their name, not through any fault of their own, but just since BLM means something very different to 99% of the population.) are the only companies i've had a module or two show up dead.
