Ah sweet, that's right - an iRig should do fine.

hurm. looks like i have a No Coast, No Control and SubHarmonicon coming in trade. neat.

i have heard that one can use a second audio interface in PC with ASIO4ALL. anybody try this? does it limit you to a stereo input?

Semi-modular madness, Behndy!
I have been thinking about a Moog Matriarch for a solid mono, keys controller, some patching fun.

Speaking of semi-modular gears. I have also been thinking about a Pulsar-23 (I sold some other stuffs recently and have some $ in my PayPal). I think the Pulsar with the BugBrand and/or Serge would be great - I have comparators, trigger sequencers, Dual Digital Shift register, logic, etc. - just tons of way to get many rhythmically related things going on. What put me over the top for this was when I found the Pulsar-23 buddy for getting clocks to the pulsar via the alligator clips and the same clicks get to banana outs.

I am not stoked about the alligator clips though.

Yeah nice score on the rest of the Make Noise stuff, behndy. You'll be set when the Strega comes! I really want to get my hands on a No Ctrl now. That was on my list before, but now it's moving to the top.

And delta, the Matriarch is phenomenal. I considered selling it for a bit to get back into modular, but I just couldn't. It's a forever synth for me now. I've really enjoyed pairing it with some semi-modular gear

it's weird. i've had a few different Moog things and.... kinda hated using them all. the SubHarm seems like such a weird little beast though, i am SUPER intrigued. also, it quantizes. dealing with the different volt to octave range of Moogs has always been freaking ridiculous.

and the MN stuff i'm excited about for the opposite reason? every MN module i've had i eventually (or quickly) found i didna like it. QPas is dope, but i even sold that one. again. the No Coast is the only thing from them i loooooooved. and the No Control looks crazy fun.

going to have a little section of semi modular loots that is more for silly noise exploration, not as worried about being totally sync'd to everything else?

the Otos are probably going to get listed too. at least the Delay and Dirt one. the Reverb is pretty baller. i have a Hologram Microcosm on the way (eventually? they said 3 week lead up to shippings.). that should be neaaaaaaat.

lol. i WANTED to love the Pulsar-23. it's very cool and fun... but really felt surprisingly constrained in the range of sounds it made?

oof. yeah. fucking alligator clips. not my jam. and ANOTHER type of cable to keep track of and sort space for? nooooooo thank you.

edit - as someone that's pretty meh about Moog stuff.... what about the Matriarch is so Never Gonna Give You UP appealing about it for you homie?

Overall I just love the design of the Matriarch. The oscillators sound amazing both on their own in paraphonic mode and stacked on top of eachother in mono mode. Round robin arps are super fun. The dual filter is amazing; it sounds great and it can be routed in a ton of different ways. There's also a lot of useful ways to route the envelopes to the filter and VCA that can make for interesting stereo spread. The delay is great and also does a ton with the stereo space. And there's a ton of patching opportunity; there's a bunch of extra attenuators (that also act as VCAs and can be used as a ring modulator), there's an extra LFO that can be patched in.

If I was to put together a modular setup, I'd want to put together something similar and it would cost much more.

I am so close to making it happen - I know it has some great gain-heavy sounds - does it do softer sounds? Maybe triangle waves in paraphonic is the route for that.

For me, I had a Sequential Pro 3 and they botched the option for filter routing - only using 1 of the 3 at a time seemed strangely limiting when everything else was really well thought out. Great synth still but ultimately I found it great as a chameleon but I want a bit more oomph and 4 Moog Oscillators should bring that. The patchability of the Matriarch is cool despite the fact that for most of my stuff, I will have to adapt cables in some way. That delay though - so nice.

sounds pretty dope.

lol. guess i'm.... glad? Moog's not my jam? less to lust after?

murrrrrrr. so. going to put a 60 hp Moog case above the SubHarm, mostly to get a quantizer close to the No Control. i know the smart thing to do is grab an o_C, but i hate the tiny screen.

any good interactive quantizer recommendations?

Tiptop looks cool if you want just one voice out of it, has some cool features and neat interface?

Probably some more good ones but I was looking recently and for just one voice this kinda looked like the tip....top?

IJ Scales also seems super feature packed but just from first glance it looks more menu/button combo based... IDK it might be less complicated than it looks

If I'm misunderstanding (thinking you just want it for subharm?) and you want more outputs the Instruo one looks super tasty for chords and stuff.

SubHarm quantizes itself (sounds like dirty, dirty teenage DON'T WALK IN ON MOM DON'T OPEN THAT DOOR I'M QUANTIZING MYSELF.) i thought?

more for No Coast and anything that No Ctrl sends to?

lol. annnnnd because i'm a goof it needs... um... it needs to be black. although i gotta guy that can black out panels for me. lovely little guy. sometimes that takes a hinute though.

hurrrrrrm.. kinda want that Tenderfoot one. like you said, Scales looks dope, but dayum. loooot of functions in a small space. hurm. things to think about.

thanks meng!

oh yeah duuurrrrr was confusing myself. Tenderfoot looks cool also! Thanks for reminding me, forgot about that one. :thumb: But yeah depending on how you like the interface (and can handle silver panel) Scales is pretty great maybe.

lol. damn SILVERS.

it is for a super small system, i wanted to have a little section of desk kinda cut off from rest, just the MN Semis, SubHarm, and a little 60 Moog skiff above the Sub. so i guesssss i'll try the uO_c again first. thing IS a versatile little bugger for small loots.

but i reallllly like the simple layout of the Tender.

Yeah Tender is cool. I was nearly looking at OC for a bit but ew that menu/interface. No no no no
