I am afraid my head shape will look weird without hair, but I have no choice. Granted, the hat life is the life to live.

I think most people sort of own their poorly shaped craniums. What is gonna be your favorite degrading bald nickname? I have yet to be called one, but I think if someone called me Slick I might choke them on principal. Or Curly. Or cue ball.Inconuucl wrote:I am afraid my head shape will look weird without hair, but I have no choice. Granted, the hat life is the life to live.
By the way Echorec, this thread is valuable for me too when you mention gear news. So thanks!

Both. Definitely both. Part from ear-to-ear, drag it across forehead. But with a pretty intensely receded hairline.Olin wrote:It looks like that weird fringe thing the "scene kids" did back in 2009 or whatever more than balding. Or maybe both?
If your hair's going: no shame. But wearing it long usually makes it look thinner and ill-kept. Mine's thinned out a lot (granted I was a fucking teenage werewolf with a hairline 1.5" above my eyebrows), and I just keep it buzzed down. Seems OK to me.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

What is it? Well, it's a delay. Pretty obvious, right? Well...it's a delay and a little more. The 60 Second Delay is a "Frippertronics" style looping delay. What's that mean? Notice there's no record/play footswitch. It's essentially like setting up a long tape loop or just having an old school delay with excessive amounts of memory. Which means changing the delay time changes the sampling rate, just like analog delays and early digital units. It's great for long evolving soundscapes and experiments.
The features were inspired by the original EHX 16 Second Digital Delay (not the reissue). Notably, it is always listening to the input signal even when not "on/active". It has LFO modulation of delay time, infinite hold, Fast/Slow clock settings (Fast is essentially running at twice the speed of slow), and foot switchable direction (reverse playback). However, it is not a clone and bears little resemblance to the EHX electronically.
It sounds sweet and is a load of fun! Much more than a looping delay, it can also do modulated echoes, chorus-y things, flange-y things and has one or two unique tricks. Video demo coming soon!
Availability: August 2017

(I think he missed that availability date)

Re: Gear preview 2017
since i'm almost 61, thinning is a fact of life for me. my hair is still long because that's the way i roll, but it's getting rather thin in front for a center part. how depressing. i've been into cotton knit berets for ages now, because there's never a bad hair day when you're wearing a hat. if i shaved my head then i'd have to shave it regularly, which doesn't appeal at all. and if i did, my head would look like a lightbulb.raj007 wrote:I've always been a hat fan .Inconuucl wrote:I am afraid my head shape will look weird without hair, but I have no choice. Been going bald/shaving my head since college. At a certain point you just have to let it go. Though I only shave my head with clippers can't get down on the back to the future principal look. Someone needs to do that guy a solid and let him know he looks ricockulous.
60 second delay looks dope.

Do you guys feel like ILF has influenced the gear zeitgeist in general or am I just being narcissistic on behalf of all of us?
