Scott I have money now and fear I won't later. LOL. Can I pay my balance out of fear that I won't be able to help myself since I'm sure a fucking whore with money?

Yes it's nothing personal. Some sort of compromise may happen next major update, but there is no change on the current release.
zoooombiex wrote: Those are some great additions! I'm on the list for the new one, but will it be possible to update older models to add these features?
Yes eventually the firm will be ported to all boards. There may be some caveats, but fundamentally it will be the same. For example no previous version has tricolor LED so instead of Green you may settle for purple (both red and blue on) etc.
just was gonna ask this
because isn't this how you choose q modes on rev h,i boards now with the latest firmwares?

The second change is that in Mode 1 you can add a filter to the feedback, or more correctly, you can adjust the cut off of the low pass filter that acts on the feedback loop. To do so you have to hold down the soft switch and turn DIR 1. This filter only affects the sound in Mode 1, it is not global setting. The filter does not effect the clean (dry) channel either.

yes but it is trivial to make it any of the three knobs, even on h/i boards only 1 of the three has any functionality in this way, still lots of space.

I gave up cause I'm used to to how it works as-is, but at some point I should probably try again. Can't afford a new one cause my dollar is equivalent to sand right now, which is why Scott deals in usd, haha.
If you are having trouble with upgrade you can email me with a more exact description of what's happening. I've had a few people who had to manually point windows to the installed drivers (ie windows update cannot find them) but they are installed in the same directory where Dfuse goes when you install it.
yeah, that sounds like what was happening with me. I'll try it again soon and see what's what.

Hi, first time poster!

So I very luckily managed to snag a Count To 5 here in the UK on eBay (even though I’ll probably be up for jumping in on the new pre-order as well, it's just that I just couldn’t wait any longer!).

I’ve only had some limited time with it, but it is so amazing! Really loving how varied and fun it can be. There was one thing that I thought was weird though…

As soon as I got it I whacked it somewhere in the middle of my pedal chain, which is all run through the FX loop on my Orange TH200H. I’d done a lot of reading about the pedal, so had an idea of how it functioned (although nothing compares to getting your hands on it!). Mode 2 and 3 worked as I had expected, but I found Mode 1 really tricky to get any useable sounds. After going back to it I thought something might be wrong with the pedal for Mode 1, on some settings my playing would barely trigger any noise/effect from the pedal, and on others I’d get some sparse flourishes of magical noise, but nothing would ever sustain. After getting a bit sad, I plugged the pedal straight into the front of the amp and BOOM! All the magical birds and textural brilliance came out instantly, I was so relieved!

I wanted to ask if there’s anything I can do to make it work in the FX loop though, all my other pedals on my board go through there and I’d rather keep the CT5 on there with them if possible. It was almost as if my signal wasn’t hitting a certain threshold to trigger the pedal in Mode 1 when the pedal was in the loop? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Put a preamp or dirt pedal after the CT5 in your loop. That should smooth out all the digitalness

Welcome to the forum! I would suggest first just to try again. It seems very unlikely that one mode's level is affected and not the others. If you continue to have problems please make a video clearly demonstrating the issues you have and email it to me at mtl.asm@gmail.com. This is the best way to get direct support.

the delay time going up and down even though it's completely in "sync" 1:1?
i can confirm that this is fixed now too. i will test the other new stuff on the old boards and then release it together with as part of a larger update on a week or two.

I'm so excited for the CT5. My board is filling out beautifully.

I can't remember if I asked/suggested this before, but both for the CT5 and the new pedal, it would be awesome if there were a way to select between having the direction control (1) pitch and speed/direction, or (2) only speed/direction

The old EHX 16 second delay/looper has this option and I find it very musical and useful
