so. for me it looks like one of those weird touch point noise oscillator things that small nerd niche companies make for 3 or 4 hundy that i've bought 4 or 5 of and they're all fun for a few seconds then super boring and one sound.... but a REAL company with REAL design experience tackling it.
so. WANT.

I mean, to be fair, this could absolutely go that same route. This thing looks like it will absolutely excel at doing things with "the Cortini sound", i.e., degraded and broken, pitchy delays. I'm not sure how much range you'll get out of a mono-oscillator and a weird delay. That being said, I am a big fan of degraded and broken and weird-o delays, so it still looks like a win in my books

That's a fair point for sure; I am almost more interested in plugging different instruments into it to see what I could get out of it.

Processing that guitar sample sounded great.
Tbh this makes me want to get another 0-coast and have a mini-Make Noise system next to a skiff of MN. I already have the 0-ctrl so those 3 plus the rack of MN would be cool.

I never really got along with my No Coast. I just couldn't get anything special out of it. It might do better as a companion to Strega though. I always felt like the No Coast really needed some effects to make it sound good. I'd be happy to sit the Strega (and probably a No Ctrl) next to my Werkstatt and Organelle for a little mini synth setup

lol. that idea (except for the skiff of MN. i do not dig on their modules.) APPEALS.
i KNOW someone is going to put out a tasty three tier rack for them.
.... even though i don't love touch controllers.
but i miss the No Coast. there's something about it.

And pre-ordered the Strega because I had money in my account and zero impulse control

Moog Audio. They're usually pretty slow with pre-orders, but they're Canadian and somewhat local

Yeah, if I hadn't already pre-ordered one, I probably would have after watching that video. That sounds great!

The Cortini Box - it's nice. I will have to see if I can imitate it with mounds of other stuff I have.
Here is a bit of a Bugbrand video - basically a quick groove I built - sorry it does sound hollow/boxy compared to real life. (Do I just need to grab a stereo line out from my mixer into my phone via an adapter of some kind in order to get a bit better sound?):

So this is actually a mix of Older and Newer Bugbrand modules + there is a few Eurorack ports from Scrotum Labs (cool dude that also makes some modules for Serge and Buchla too).

lol. i usually just record a channel or two from my mixer.
