Dude, v1 was a complete POS. It constantly had power issues and would not work with other shit in the chain. I had like 3 of them and they all had the same problem. V2 fixed all that and sounded better. I'd wait for that one.

I had one right when they came out and never had an issue with it. The current requirement is super high so maybe that was the issue?

That definitely was part of the issue but it also did not play well in the chain no matter where I put it.
