Is FF6 the one with the rat ballet or was that 5? because that shit sucked.
Pretty sure FF 6 did not have a rat ballet. It did have an octopus opera IIRC.
It was 6... Just not exactly as I remembered. Have to navigate the rafters of the opera house and fight rats and then dance on stage.. and if you screw up any of it you have to start back since there is no save point.

Haha yeah love that part. FF6 is so good.
FF12 is pretty cool. Combat and two of the main characters kinda suck a bit but the world and story are not bad at all. I had a lot of fun with it but never replayed, unlike all the ones prior to that

I pretty much never play video games, but when I get the urge sometimes I get really pulled into stuff.
With extra time on my hands right now, I downloaded Dwarf Fortress a few days ago and that has managed to occupy my mind for a good chunk of the week. I had one serious-ish go at it maybe five years ago, so tackling it again really gives one a lot to try and get a grip on. And also werebisons.

Getting my fiancee into Breath of the Wild. She's really not a video game person, so it's pretty fun to watch.
It's basically this:

I hadn't played a zelda game since 64 really and I wasn't a huge fan of those games... BotW is great though. Battle system is still a little clunky (I feel like they've had plenty of time to improve this but oh well) but outside of a few small annoyances, it's a lot of fun.

Got CONTROL for the PS4 at the reduced price yesterday. Been hoping for it to go on sale for a long time now. Excited to start it soon. Just not sure if I'm to focus on finishing HLD first or dive right in.
How do you guys go about this stuff in general? I rarely have multiple games going at the same time. I might switch between a heavy story based game and something more arcade-ish that I play for 20-30 mins at a time, but never have two "heavy" titles going at the same time. That always just ends up them cancelling eachother.. So, are you a "multi-" or "single-gamer"?

Definitely this. I'm not a massive gamer (i.e. I don't have that many games), and I like to really sink my teeth into one at a time. Still playing Final Fantasy IX, and some Shovel Knight on the side if I want something different.

I'm the same way. I like to focus on one big story driven game and then play smaller indie games on the side. I don't actually have a main game right now, but I've fallen back down the Binding of Isaac hole

I need a super chill game to play where I can just explore without having to fight monsters or whatever. Been playing My Summer Car and it's a wonderful game, but keeping an old shitbox running while being permanently broke is a little too close to real life sometimes
Like the only thing I miss about playing MMOs is the sense of community that comes from region-chatting with random people while exploring, and all the various goofy conversations that arise from it. MMOs haven't been like that for years now, though.

When I used to game a lot I'd have several going all the time. Now I'm like this.

Just finished Hyper Light Drifter. Not in a completionist sense, but beat the final boss, after like 50+ tries, haha. But seriously. What. A. Game. Almost sad it's over. I've enjoyed playing it so much. Enjoyed giving it my full attention.
Thinking about picking up Owlboy, which is on sale, btw. Anyone got any experience with that? I thought it looked really cool before, but after HLD everything just looks bland, haha!

I just started playing Hyper Light Drifter. It is a beautiful game so far, although I have no idea what is going on
