Fallen Order was surprisingly good. I started to work back through to find all the secrets, but that grew tiresome rather quickly.
How long did the main play through take you?

I only put in maybe 15 or so hours. About 3-5 hours after finishing the main play through. It really wasn't that long, but I mostly just went straight through the story

Holed up playing Red Dead Redemption 2.
Amazing game, amazing disappointment. Can't stop playing it but I get irritated at the same time thinking about what a missed opportunity this game is.

I really liked RDR2, what's disappointing about it? What missed opportunity?
Also, beat Donut County in like an hour or two, that was disappointing and absolutely not worth it. Playing Untitled Goose Game right now and it's pretty funny. I like being a mischievous goose.

I thought the plot was really terrible, super forced, uninteresting, all the moral soap boxing was so heavy handed and about as complex as a cold bowl of oatmeal. All the proselytizing coming from characters who kill hundreds of innocent people, a lot of times really brutally (and animals for stupid reasons like completing challenges) through the game made it pretty cringe worthy after a while.
The game mechanics are pretty much the same thing that has been around since GTAIII, which were awesome then, pretty embarrassing for a game released over 15 years later, and even worse, they seemed to be way clunkier than earlier GTA games, a lot of times it felt like I was playing a bad rail shooter, not an open world game. There is basically no challenge to it based on skill, you just clunk your way through action sequences, activate Dead-Eye to turn it into a rail shooter in order to make overly complicated action parts into overly easy point and click on bad guys heads. Getting items from the circle menu thing is irritating and wonky as hell.
"I want a gun, no not that one, no not that one...no...ok, no wait, is that the one I want? No, ok this next one, ok, wait it has the wrong ammo. Fuck it, I guess it doesn't matter because there is almost no difference between rifles, and little difference between pistols."
Nothing is fluid.
Rockstar also seems to think that pressing a button a bunch of times is actual gaming. Beat up guy, press F over and over. Place dynamite walk up to post, press E. Light dynamite. Ride horse with gang member, hold down W for 5 minutes. Wow. So fun. Some of this is needed, but Rockstar seems to use this as a core component of game play now. It's so lame.
But..the environment created, the map, all the details and complexity is easily the most incredible I've ever experienced. Also thought that Arthur Morgan was easily the best character of any Rockstar game I've played, the voice acting and programming of his facial expressions was more like something out of a really good movie than a video game. Most of the other characters were pretty meh, Micah was a pretty good character (not as in a good person, good as in character development and portrayal), he felt authentic. Dutch was decent in RDR1, in this he was such an embarrassing buffoon that completely ruined so much of the immersion.
I wanted more Unforgiven, less Marvel-esque simplicity.
So it's like
plot 1/10
game play 3/10
supporting characters 6/10
main character 10/10
environment 100/10

I mean I can't really argue with a lot of that. I thought the plot was fine. It was fairly predictable, but it wasn't bad really. I can't say I completely remember the whole plot so clearly it wasn't super exciting or memorable. Honestly, the best part was probably after the main story, which is about all I really remember from the game at this point. The gameplay and combat also weren't great, but they were passable at least.
I thought the atmosphere and characters were all pretty incredible and really enjoyed the open world.
I'd give it more of a:
plot 5/10
game play 6/10
supporting characters 8/10
main character 10/10
environment 100/10

I recently got Modern Warfare Warzone because a friend was playing it.
Great mechanics, great map and level design, worst optimization in a game I've ever played, though.
Not only did the game itself crash a few dozen times, it even made my computer blue screen while downloading. Fuck Activision and their shitty Blizzard loader bullshit. The game was using, like, the entire 16GB ram I have and constantly maxed out my HDD.
I just want to finally have a game that's like, Halo RDR2.

Finally got down to buying and commiting to Hyper Light Drifter after eyeing it for aaaaaageeees being afraid of not liking it or it being too difficult. It's still bloody difficult but I love it so much. The visuals, music, gameplay, atmosphere. Even cooler than I expected. Love it!

Yeah, it is an amazing game! Ticked a lot of boxes for what I want in a game.
Started Final Fantasy IX since there's not much else to do in these trying times. Ten hours in, and enjoying myself so far.

That was my absolute favorite.
Might want to look at a guide for the zodiac coins or whatever since certain ones can't be gotten after specific points.
Amarant and Fraya are pretty awesome once you put some work into them. Had a lot more fun using those two than the standard zidane/vivi/steiner/healer lineup.
